mtg, mtg cards, magic the gathering, gaming, geeks
This deck's one objective is to beat you opponent down to a pulp. the first few turns are spent ramping until you can cast a bomb.
Primeval Titan got banned :( therefore my Momir Vig, Simic Visionary + Avenger of Zendikar + Primeval Titan combo can never work.
If there are any other cool combos in RUG please share
On another note I really need some help with the cards in my maybeboard. Should they stay or should they go?
how about Decimate ?
ANd Mindwrack Liege . If you can get him out via Cascade you can play big creatures in your hand for cheap and get a creature Boost.
A great card for a MW deck is Momir Vig, Simic Visionary . If he's on the field when you cast Maelstrom Wanderer , all 3 of their "when you cast" triggers go off at the same time, so you can put them on the stack however you wish. By timing them right, you can choose two creatures to cascade into, as long as the first creature you chose was green.
A good combo for this is to grab Avenger of Zendikar and then grab Primeval Titan . By the time combat damage is dealt, you will have an army of 4/5 plants (with haste) swinging at your opponent.
To cheat with Momir Vig, let his blue creature trigger resolve first. With luck, the card you put into your hand won't be one you want to cascade into. Then you let his green creature trigger resolve, letting you tutor up a creature.
If you tutor up a green creature, then Momir Vig's green creature trigger will go off again as soon as you cascade into the creature you chose, because cascade casts the spell. This lets you tutor for any other creature you wish to cascade into. If you choose a green or blue creature, then Momir Vig will trigger a third time for profit as soon as the second cascade resolves.
What is your budget for this deck?
At the very least, consider card:Sensei's Divining Top. It's good in general and it works well with cascade.
Also, Thran Dynamo , Coalition Relic , and Gilded Lotus are good mana rocks.
Consider card:Nature's Lore, Skyshroud Claim , and Hunting Wilds for ramp, especially if you ever use any dual lands. And Oracle of Mul Daya is one I the best ramp creatures I've seen besides Azusa, Lost but Seeking . Oracle goes great in almost any deck with green that wants mana.
If you put Research//Development on an Isochron Scepter , you can choose either side for the copy.
Also, Bust is pretty busted to cascade into.
Cloudstone Curio would like a word.... cast Maelstrom Wanderer get a creature, if you have excess mana bounce it and cast it again! or bounce other worthwhile ETB creatures like titans and stuff or stuff that has been locked with a Pacifism or card:Faith's Fetters
Cloudstone Curio really works wonders it is a great addition to this deck.
Palinchron , Deadeye Navigator and Phyrexian Ingester are pretty nice to cascade into.
@Carson189 the Deadeye Navigator wont work with Maelstrom Wanderer because it needs to be 'cast'.
@landgrafb thanks again for the great advice
why not Arcanis the Omnipotent ?
@AztecaSaint with cards like Soul of the Harvest and Consecrated Sphinx I do not know whether it will be worth it
I took out Soul of the Harvest for Arcanis the Omnipotent . The advantage I held at the table was too good that I made the pod quit. Also you get a creature that evades global.
If you're looking for a cool rug combo try Walk the Aeons + Azusa, Lost but Seeking + Crucible of Worlds :) its infinite which might make some people dislike you, but oh well lol
+1 for using Blasphemous Act. I liked the deck as much as I like EDH (which isn't much usually since I blow at it) but dat Blasphemous Act ...

deathbygiraffe says...
wow, I really expected that Eye of the Storm would be in this deck... but no.... kind of misleading, don't you think?
Maelstrom Wanderer would even be pretty good as general for an Eye of the Storm deck.
