Excavating Kazandu [HOU]

Standard* BG (Golgari) Combo

HOU brew featuring a highly anticipated card, Ramunap Excavator. This one is based on the "Landfall" mechanic. I also have another "Delirium" build featuring this card. Link HERE.

Clearly, the Landfall mechanic is our key to victory. Ramunap Excavator gives us the opportunity to play lands from our graveyard... Being able to play Evolving Wilds as much as we want, triggering Retreat to Kazandu more often. The Gitrog Monster let's us play an extra each turn. Potentially dropping 4 lands in a single turn is pretty awesome. A couple copies of Warped Landscape are added in the main board (may drop to 1) because we can only have 4 Evolving Wilds. Our other land options work great to, especially Blighted Woodland- dropping 2 lands, and having the option to do it again.

For removal in this deck, there is a full set of Fatal Push- for both early to late(ish) game. Revolt should be fairly easy to turn on once you start building steam, thanks to cards like Evolving Wilds and The Gitrog Monster. Grasp of Darkness also makes the cut, and since we're playing black- Collective Brutality fits perfectly into the build- We can discard our lands to escalate if we need to, rather than other key cards that you may be waiting to play...which is great, because we can play them from our graveyard.

Lost Legacy or Dispossess is always great to board in, depending on what your local meta looks like. Transgress the Mind or Lay Bare the Heart are also some great options for removal, looking at your opponent's hands and getting rid of potential combos before they hit the table.

This idea is still in the works and is currently being play tested. Any suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated as is constructive criticism. Changes will be made as it is played, and depending on what Hour of Devastation spoilers are released next- there could very well be some more viable options to come.
