The good king abandoned the old world he once ruled, years he resisted dark temptations after shards split, you can only resist a demons whispers for so long. The lich betrayed his people and now has gone past death, seeking power beyond his plane.

This deck is strongly modeled after the flavour of it's commander, lich's, betrayal, cruelty, monarchs, grixis demons, and more. I could make it a more effective deck by adding copies similar features but I would rather have the feel of this commander. I will constantly tune this to best fit the image I have of a planes walking Sedris, commanding an army of his kind. Any suggestions are welcome, although this is a deck that specialises in form over function, flavour over deck power. I allow the lands and mana rocks to be purely mechanically and budget focused, as flavourful lands and mana rocks are a challenge.

Because I feel like Phyrexians would fit perfectly into the theme I used to have Sheoldred, Whispering One on the deck list, but to keep the deck ~$100 I cut her, that is the first addition I'd add for flavour if that's what you're looking for. Some other budget cuts are No Mercy and (to be decided).
