My playgroup has one mono-red Ilharg, The Razeboar+Eldrazi player, one Gravecrawler+Phyrexian Altar combo butthole player, and one Karn Artifacts tribal player. The butthole combo player also has an Esper control list he sometimes plays.

That's the meta I'm in. Just FYI. They do a lot of proxying. I try to limit it if I can, but I have to proxy some of the expensive stuff just to not lose every game. So if there's a questionable card in there, it's probably because it's a card I have and I try to work with the cards I own when I can. I also try not to just copy the other esper player's deck, they proxied in Avacyn, so I'm avoiding using one myself.

Still trying to decide between Sen Triplets and Merieke as commander. Merieke can steal gravecrawler or avacyn when they come out, which is why I have that as my commander for now.
