1. He accelerates our Gifts Ungiven, and thus our win by one Turn
2. If you cast one Instant or Sorcery Spell Turn 1 (Thought Scour / Fatal Push / Path to Exile) you can flip him immediately after you cast Gifts Ungiven for Unburial Rites + Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite in your opponents's end step.
3. Unlike other 'Mana Dorks' he can turn himself into an 3/4 prowess body with a Goblin Electromancer's ability. This allowes us to have additional defense for our flashed back Unburial Rites in the form of a discounted Collective Brutality or Negate and have him swing for 4dmg min. (6dmg with Norn) the same turn. It basically is Thing in the Ice  , Tarmogoyf and Goblin Electromancer combined and the flip condition is more than easy in a deck with 20+ instants/sorcerys
