This is my first ever Standard Build that I have made from scratch with next to no influence. It is also my first time playing control competitively so i decided to build this. If I played U/B I would lose Anguished Unmaking, Sorin, Grim Nemesis, Dovin Baan along with some other things. W/B would lose Jace, Unraveler of Secrets, Torrential Gearhulk, and lots and lots of counter spells. Now I have the perfect blend of 8 counter spells and 16 removal spells to stop my opponent from playing Magic all together. Copy Cat gets out-countered/killed and we can normally stop G/B from getting too much of an advantage. The only bad match up might be B/R Zombies, which is why I have Descend upon the Sinful in the SB, but I'm not expecting the standard Dredge deck too much in my meta.
