"Eleven mana is unplayable" they said...

Well it is, and you would have to be crazy to try and play Worldspine Wurm.

So here is my crazy Constructed deck for post rotation!

Goal: Get that crazy Wurm out there and do some work. Utilizing Descendants' Path path and the fact that there is a 2 drop Boneyard Wurm in standard at the same time. Also, use Mwonvuli Beast Tracker to set up the Descendants' Path trigger.

NOTE! Before the massive rage ensues, Unburial Rites is NOT for Worldspine Wurm. I realize he goes back into the library. It is for thrown away eldarscale wurms or Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, or a Mwonvuli Beast Tracker to set up my timmay wurm.

Gave this deck a hybrid Splinterfright/frites feel to make it work with Boneyard Wurm.

Sidenotes: Splinterfright is in here to give me a beast tracker target if it's not feasible for me to pull one of my bigger guys... Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord is in there to be a badass, throwing my wurms can easily win games, plus, he can come in off the Descendants' Path with Arbor Elf... neat.

This is an un-tweeked idea, and will probably need more removal or something to contend in the aggro heavy meta... but man... look at that wurm!

My only consideration is maybe one more Worldspine Wurm to increase your chances dramatically, though I would not have any idea what to replace it with.

I've hard casted and won with the wurm, dont underestimate the power of ramp :D

Love it, +1. Boneyard Wurm , card:Descendants' Path, Mwonvuli Beast Tracker , Worldspine Wurm -- all work great together!

I playtested your deck because it's awesome, but one problem I found was the amount of double lands... drew four before I got a forest or anything else, meaning that when I played them they came into play tapped and my Arbor Elf couldn't really ramp anything. Just my two cents.

@BrokenZygoma You mean because she is ridiculously amazing?? Yeah, she will find play in almost any deck that can support her haha

@Solkongen You know Arbor Elf can ramp with a few of those double lands? Overgrown Tomb and Temple Garden count as Forest ... so that gives me 11 targets for Arbor Elf ... but 12 untargetable lands. When Gatecrash is released, I would most likely replace the Rootbound Crag s with the new dual land... Thanks though!

Thanks for the +1s, if anyone sees a way to add in removal without hurting the theme too much, let me know.

you should try Ulvenwald Tracker or Prey Upon between main deck and sideboard so you got removal, without having to add any other land
