The Birdiness of Tribals

Hey guys this is my bird tribal deck. My commander is Ephara, God of the Polis I chose her over Kangee, Aerie Keeper because she costs only 4 mana to start and she helps me draw into more birds. The deck wants to slowly build up a massive board of birds then finish the game off with a big Kangee, Aerie Keeper, Cathars' Crusade, Coat of Arms, or Mirror Entity which is also a bird.

This deck loves birds which contribute to the main pay-off cards Soulcatchers' Aerie, Keeper of the Nine Gales, Kangee, Aerie Keeper, and Celestial Gatekeeper all interact with my birds.

Ephara Synergy

As any Ephara, God of the Polis deck. It also likes putting creatures into play at instant speed. Cryptic Gateway and Vedalken Orrery both help to flash in birds that we have. We also have other nice flyers with good abilities and flash including Spell Queller, Draining Whelk, Stunt Double, Thunderclap Wyvern, and Silumgar Sorcerer to take advantage of Ephara's ability to draw more cards.

Other cards that aren't birds but synergize with Ephara are Saltskitter and Faerie Artisans which are included for the raw amount of card draw you get every turn. You could draw a card at every upkeep with these!

Powering Out the Birds

Inspiring Statuary, Urza's Incubator, Ashnod's Altar, Cloud Key, Cryptic Gateway and other mana rocks help us power out our birds.
