Main Deck

  • Enigma Drake: This is our main win con along side the Torrential Gearhulks, people normally don't expect a flying */4, it also dodges fatal push and most removal bar the big ones
  • Torrential Gearhulk: You know why it's here
  • Supreme Will: For 2U, the ability to counter or Anticipate for 4 means that you can dig a single card deeper than Anticipate or counter a target spell
  • Abrade: Useful spot removal, kills opponent's Gearhulks and other relevant artifacts
  • Endless Sands: Useful for exiling Drakes and Torrential Gearhulks (also gets an extra ETB) out of the way of removal while still presenting some sort of board presence

Side

  • Commit / Memory: Mainly played for the Commit ability to put something dangerous back into the deck
  • Crook of Condemnation: To target exile embalm/eternalize creatures as well as thin out graveyard recursion decks
  • The Locust God: Good combo with Pull from Tomorrow, Glimmer of Genius and anything that cycles, great for the slow game and doesn't die to removal easily with recursion, creates chump blockers and haste-y insects that can fly over a board
  • Refuse / Cooperate: Refuse is used when the opponent taps out or casts large spells which can hit them for a large amount of damage, Cooperate can act like a hard counter when an opponent tries to counter something we do or it can be used to cast a better valued spell
  • Sweltering Suns: Cycles and board clears low creatures, use Hour of Devastation to clear difficult ceatures
