The Hedron Alignment dream is still alive and I will use it as long as this card is in standard...for the last time!!!

This deck has been evolving since Hedron Alignment's inception in standard. For my last hurrah before it rotates out this fall, I will update this deck for your future reference if in case you decide to play this one. I enjoyed it, I stole games in my local gaming stores, I inspired people brew and innovate their hedron alignment decks here in tappedout.net (cmon guys, admit it, just kidding! lol). Work and family splits my time brewing and updating decks. Still, your comments and suggestions are very welcome. Enough of the drama, lets break down the cards.

Torrential Gearhulk - the main creature for any blue based control decks. You know what it does to your spells below.

Fatal Push - we need to have answers as early as turn 1 that's why this card is here. Don't worry about the revolt, an occasional fetch from Evolving Wilds will help you trigger revolt.

Collective Brutality - this is a very good discard outlet for hedron alignment. All of its modes are very useful. It removes small creatures, it removes your opponent's counterspell, it gives you a lil bit of survivability.

Blessed Alliance - this card helps me further survive red gay...I mean red deck wins. A very flexible card.

Transgress the Mind - this is still a viable removal and disrupting card...or exile hedron alignment in worst case situations.

Anguished Unmaking - it is still here to exile an annoying permanent...or exile hedron alignment in worst case situations.

Never//Return - the newest incarnation of Ruinous Path which gives us the option to exile hedron alignment and make a zombie attacker/blocker.

Yahenni's Expertise - with the -1/-1 counters floating around the meta, this sweeper will still do the job for you and allow you to cast hedron alignment for free...too bad you cannot cheat Never//Return with the new split card rules.

Fumigate - big creatures are still around the meta and with creature tokens are swarming, this sweeper is still relevant.

NEW: Bontu's Last Reckoning - the cheapest board wipe as of today but with a downside. It is still very good card late game for me backing up with lifegain spells.

Anticipate - your early game card digging spell. I shouldn't remove this card in the first place when I first made this deck

Pull from Tomorrow - the newest Sphinx's Revelation at least for card draw yehey! It also helps you discard hedron alignment.

Secret Salvage - this card is the reason why hedron alignment decks here in tappedout.net and in any card simulating sites pop up like mushrooms because of its synergy. Once you let it resolve, you will almost guaranteed to win the game. In worst situations, you can use it to dig other copies of the cards that you need.

A godly turns:

  • T1: land drop
  • T2: land drop, Collective Brutality with escalate discarding hedron alignment (any mode/s will do); better if you can discard two hedrons in your graveyard to freely cast a removal or defensive spell next turn.
  • T3: land drop, play hedron alignment or play Geier Reach Sanitarium then activate draw and discard hedron alignment.
  • T4: land drop, Yahenni's Expertise, play hedron alignment for free.
  • T5: land drop, Secret Salvage , exile a copy of hedron alignment and search for the last copy then put it in your hand.
  • T6: Win, Profit!

Note: This is just assuming your opponent plays midrange or little to no interaction. The plays will vary depending on the board state.

NEW: Commit - another removal and disruption spell that can stall the game for you and it can restock your cards in your hand...remember, Torrential Gearhulk can use the other half of the card which is memory.

Jace, Unraveler of Secrets - He is your cantrip, your bouncer and your protector if you manage to pull his ultimate.

Ob Nixilis Reignited - another creature removal, card advantage and a wincon late game.

Sorin, Grim Nemesis - he is your card advantage too plus damage (too bad we can only hit 7 damage at the max). your removal and life gainer and (bonus) your provider of massive vampires to finish your opponent/s. If you have a Hedron Alignment in the field, it will help you dig for more damage from this guy.
