And, lo, there was a great chittering in the wood...

SKWIRLS!!!!

No, really.

This is a Squirrel deck.

Okay, really it's essentially a token/enchantment deck with lots of tricks and goodies...

But your tokens are Squirrels. Dozens and dozens of hundreds of Squirrels.

Play things right, you'll have some 10/10, Hexproof, Indestructible, Trampling Squirrels in no time.

This is a fun, funny, and very silly sounding deck...

But don't underestimate the Squirrels.

You clicked it? You want to know more about the Power of the Skwirl?

Very well.

SKWIRL POWAH!!!

Obviously this deck runs any card that can give you a Squirrel Token. Acorn Harvest and Chatter of the Squirrel are obvious.

Squirrel Nest is a very reliable source of Squirrels, and when combined with Earthcraft can create an endless wave of little critters to go play with your opponent's creatures!

Nut Collector, Squirrel Wrangler, and Deranged Hermit give you Squirrels AND bonuses to your Squirrels. Doubleplus good!

Heliod, God of the Sun and Nylea, God of the Hunt buff your Squirrels and (eventually) provide some extra punching power.

I mean, really, all these happy, cute, skittering Squirrels... you don't want them to die, do you?

Emmara Tandris is here to save your furry friends! She brought along Asceticism, Steely Resolve, Greater Auramancy, and a host of other enchantments to keep those happy critters skittering about.

But wait? What if some horrible Anti-Squirrel Group comes along and tries to get rid of her? Well, let's go ahead and put Darksteel Plate, Shielded by Faith, Shield of the Oversoul, Indestructibility, Swiftfoot Boots, or any combination of them on her, and she's going to survive just about anything.

Oh, and don't forget to put Druid's Call on her too, so that when someone blocks her indestructibleness, you get more Squirrels for everyone to play with.

Those Squirrels, they're so cute. But, at only 1/1, they don't really get to have much fun before they've got to take a nap in a cozy little acorn bed.

Fret not, Squirrel Player! Ethereal Armor, Ancestral Mask and True Conviction, along with some other fun abilities, give your soft, fuzzy horde more bite. Also the surprising Spidersilk Armor gives you a little boost, and gets you really close to having a swarm of Flying Squirrels.

Meanwhile, a slew of Populate and doubling spells let you keep your numbers up, like Growing Ranks and Druid's Deliverance, or Parallel Lives and Doubling Season, which keep you in the game.

After some coaxing, Lady Emmara invited her friend Rhys the Redeemed and all the great, happy Squirrels he can bring with him to this grand adventure!

And finally we have a couple of the new cards on the block. Beastmaster Ascension is an obvious choice for this deck, because who doesn't love 6/6 Squirrels? Then the amazing final card... Eldrazi Monument. It doubles for my Commander's ability (if she's busy elsewhere), gives +1/+1... and... wait for it...
FLYING SKWIRLS!
It's everything I could have hoped for.

So, here we have the boring stuff that makes the Squirrels work. Control enchantments like Pacifism and Arrest sit alongside return cards like Wildwood Rebirth and Miraculous Recovery.

Elspeth Tirel comes in at this point as well, with her dangerous +2 to give you +2 life for each creature you control, or her even nastier -7 to clear the board of everything that isn't a token.

Some simple but fun tricks to play, toss the Acorn Catapult on the table and start launching acorns at an indestructible creature with the Druid's Call attached. BAM! 2 Squirrels for . Can't go wrong there.

And of course, Aura Shards + Deranged Hermit is a good way to clear the board of artifacts and enchantments, while bolstering your own lines.

Thanks for reading, +1 if you enjoy this deck!
