This deck is based on a legacy deck I saw almost 10 years ago. Originally it used Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary as a commander, but when I became aware of a banned list for EDH with Rofellos on it, for some time Eladamri, Lord of Leaves was my commander of choice for his shroud ability. At a later time I found the shroud to be stepping on the toes of Ezuri, Renegade Leader, preventing his regeneration ability. So the most recent version has Ezuri, Renegade Leader as the commander. Even though he steps on a lot, and I mean a lot of toes in this build, I kept Eladamri, Lord of Leaves because he's still good in a lot of matchups and you can instant tutor for him to counter targeted removal, and if you really need to you can sacrifice him to pod or return him to hand if you're comboing off and you need the target for Ezuri, Renegade Leader or Wirewood Lodge effects, etc.

By my count there's about 18 nonland mana sources to ramp you up, 14 druids for Gilt-Leaf Archdruid, and 10 (if you count Wirewood Herald) tutors to help you find the right combination of elves you need. When you get Paradox Engine and a few mana elves online, you're ready to play out your hand, and if you're lucky enough to get a Soul of the Harvest or Skullclamp you can go nearly infinte that turn and play out your whole deck. There are four fatties in the form of 3 Eldrazi Titans Kozilek, Butcher of Truth, Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre, Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger and hoof daddy Craterhoof Behemoth any of which could end the game very quickly. Soul of New Phyrexia and Creeping Renaissance give you a little bit of help against boardwipes, which are devastating to your strategy. There's a little bit of draw to help you along as you produce big mana, to get you to your combo pieces.

Crop Rotation is an easy Gaea's Cradle or Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx.

Bad matchups include stax, control and anyone who boardwipes, but left to it's own devices this is a fast and efficient deck that doesn't interact with opponents' strategies much, for this reason it's mostly a casual fun deck that can spew out a lot of mana production.

A good path for Birthing Pod value is token>Elvish Pioneer/mana dork>Wirewood Herald>Eternal Witness/Reclamation Sage>Karametra's Acolyte/Wirewood Channeler, also good are Elvish Pioneer/mana dork>Priest of Titania, Wirewood Herald> Elvish Archdruid, or Elvish Pioneer/mana dork>Fauna Shaman. Not quite as much utility as you get from a pure pod build but plenty of good fodder to find your big mana elves.

Important to note is that most mana elves have been errata'd to be druids (for purposes of Gilt-Leaf Archdruid) even if it's not present in it's older (or only) printing, notably Priest of Titania, Fyndhorn Elves, Llanowar Elves, Argothian Elder and Wirewood Channeler.

The growing list of cards I'd love to run but they're banned includes: Biorhythm, Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary, Fastbond, Primeval Titan, Sylvan Primordial, Protean Hulk and saddest of all, Emrakul, the Aeons Torn (not counting Power Nine pieces as they are too expensive anyway)

I'll have to ask you to forgive the long maybeboard, this is a work in progress and I have had to make a lot of cuts along the way, but I'm still considering any of these cards if they should prove stronger than something in the deck.
