This deck is pretty focused around killing their creatures and then later casting your own.

There is a surplus of two drop removal spells in this deck to deal with early threats as well as late game bombs.

The goal is to stabilize the board with a sweep with Anger of the Gods it gets all the little guys or of the way before we start using removal on their bigger guys.

Once the board has stabilized its time to bring out the heavy hitters.

Boros Reckoner good as ever, enough said

Desecration Demon is just ridiculous as a 6/6 flier for 4 even though the opponent can tap him its still getting rid of their creatures and making him bigger,

Blood Baron of Vizkopa is just soo hard to kill with removal and the lifelink ability and the potential to become a 10/10 makes it a force to be reckoned with.

Obzedat, Ghost Council is just a bomb that dodges sorcery removal and drains and gains two every turn

Elspeth, Sun's Champion is a great curve topper that can get big threats out of the way or amass an army.

Sideboard:

Most cards are for control basically narrowing their options and Slaughter Games their Sphinx's Revelations and Aetherlings

I went 2 and 1 at my last fnm, having to drop out before the last round because something came up.

Match 1: mono blue 2-1 This was an easier matchup for me because I have plenty of kill spells to deal with their devotion guys and then I just slap a Desecration Demon on the table and it's hard for them to keep up. I won game one fairly easily before he could get any substantial master of waves shenanigans going. Game two I used my only kill spell in hand to deal with a master of waves, not knowing her would slap two more next turn. Nothing I could do about that. Game three went the same as the first. I had 3 desecration demons. All he could do sac to stay alive.

Match 2: 0-2 Boros something? This match will forever haunt me. It was just a casualy thrown together Boros deck. Both times he played a turn 5 assemble the legion, which I have zero answers too. After the match he Explains to me How His assemble the legion is only a 1 of..... Maybe glaring heresy might find a place in the sideboard because of its many applications

Match 3: 2-1 mono- black devotion A deck very similar to the theros top 8 deck. Except this guy was running nightveil spectors. Game 1 I removed all his things and landed and Obzedat and Aurelia. He was clearly supprized by this and sided in alot of cards. I brought in my Slaughter Games and sin collectors to try to deal with his removal and Thoughtseize taking out doom blade of course. Game 2 the magic gods were not on my side. I got triple thoughtseized in the first two turns taking out Blood Baron of Vizkopa, Obzedat, Ghost Council and Boros Reckoner. From there he proceeded to cast two nightveil spectors that just reaked havoc. He cast my own blood barons with his spectors, and from there it was all down hill Game 3 I Slaughter Games his Desecration Demon which was a crippling blow. This game was the longest because when we drew into a threat the other would kill it. Eventually I best him down with a Boros Reckoner and a Sin Collector
