Elsha of the Infinite

I was introduced to Magic around the release of Guilds of Ravnica, and I remember seeing Niv-Mizzet, Parun and thinking I need to build this deck. And build this deck I did! It was a fun deck, and I found one of the most fun things about it was creating the tokens.

Fast forward a little less than a year, after I had disassembled all my original decks, after the night of commander dexcribed in my Selvala, Explorer Returned deck. I was looking to possibly rebuild Niv, when Kykar, Wind's Fury was spoiled, and I thought no he will be my commander! I start to build the deck, I already own a good portion of the cards because of my Niv deck but then Elsha of the Infinite gets spoiled. I debated for a long time whether I should go for Elsha or Kykar, but in the end I decided to go with Elsha so I could focus more on the spells and less on tokens, since I already have a token deck.

This deck has become a personal favourite and I hope you enjoy it, or this help you with your own Elsha or Kykar deck!

This is a pretty straight forward control deck. You want to control the board and survive until you are ready to go off. One important aspect of the deck though is you need to get something to manipulate the top of your deck as early as possible. Whether it be a Sensei's Divining Top, a Soothsaying or a Penance.

One of the major win cons in the deck is Mizzix's Mastery and having Guttersnipe, Ral, Storm Conduit and/or Niv-Mizzet, Parun on the battlefield. When you overload Mizzix's Mastery, because of the wording, you cast the spells exiled with MM, so those three cards will activate and deal a lot of damage to your opponents.

The secondary win con is Bonfire of the Damned. If you can miracle it out, and Reverberate or Increasing Vengeance on it, you deal a massive amounts of damage to face, and most likely wipe your opponents boards as well, if they aren't dead from the damage.

Lastly, tokens. Tokens are a huge part to protect you from combat damage if you don't have the right spells in hand, or to finish the game off if you do pull off one of the two combos above, and your opponents are holding on for dear life!

I am not currently looking for help with this deck. I am very proud of this deck and wish to share it with the community.

That being said, if you do have any suggestions, please feel free to let me know. Our pod is more casual, no infinite combos, not trying to win on turn two or three, we play tuned but not competitive decks.

Thank you for understanding! :)
