Well, I can actually see why you don't need 4x, it makes sense to me now after I playtested the deck.

The deck seems to consistently churn out a win by turn four, but i'm having trouble improving it from here. I can't squeeze any more speed out of it.

I love this concept, but it needs more huge greatures. Banefire wins games, so you need 4 of the. Also add more of the giant eldrazis. The two best winning cards in this deck have only one copy, so why is that? i see no need for misty rainforest at all, so maybe add a more land for red and green mana if you can. the idea of a huge burn spell is great, you could even add devil's play for more of it!

@ cartwheelnurd: Adding more large creatures would slow the deck down considerably, as would adding more Banefire s. The purpose of the deck is to play pretty much the entire deck by turn 3-4. Even if I don't pull out the wins, I could easily swamp the board with an unstoppable army of weeneie elves for the win.
Misty Rainforest is in the deck for two reasons. It helps to thin the deck slightly, and also lets me pull out a Taiga , so I can cast Banefire without having to rely on Birchlore Rangers being in play. any more land would also slow the deck down, as the point of the deck is to play your creatures with the card draw that Glimpse of Nature gives you.
I'm going to update the description section of the deck so that people are less confused as to what type of deck this is. It's not an aggro deck, it uses cheap synergistic elves to combo out a win.

having said that, Banefire can't be countered if it's damage is equal to or greater than 5. storm decks get hosed if your opponent has a counterspell at the right time.

Nice one... just playtested it and had a turn 4 win by Emrakul after softening the opponent with Banefire in turn 3... (and yeah, I could have ended it in turn 3, but it's just part of the fun taking an extra turn by playing a creature like Emrakul...)
Only trouble I had was getting the mana needed before the deck ran out, due to Glimpse of Nature ...
But I would still have had a massive creature base, that could have ended it all in turn four... if my opponent doesn't have a pyroclasm or something like that... so I was thinking, maybe a Coat of Arms just for backup, in case you have to let your opponent have an extra turn...
But still... nice work with this deck... like how it plays... :)

Awesome deck! Just playtested it a couple of times, and I had trouble getting mana in my opening hand on a few occasions, but after I did, this deck preformed amazingly! The only problem I ran into was drawing too much. Nearly milled myself, had to draw 20 cards with only 21 left >.> Still amazing! +1

Genesis Wave sounds cool, but it doesn't interact with Glimpse of Nature for the card draw, and will kill all non creature spells that you would pull out with it, making Coat of Arms and Banefire useless. it would also negate Emrakul, the Aeons Torn casting ability - the free extra turn.

Slate of Ancestry would help you out quite a bit if you ever found yourself slow on draw.

Sounds like it would work. I don't know if it's just me, but draw is hardly ever a problem for me - one in ten games, maybe. as soon as you hit a Glimpse of Nature, you can pretty much play your library in one hit.

Also, I found that I never really needed Coat of Arms. Every time I would play it, I can just keep ramping into Emrakul or something else, and I never used it. Would be insane, but I didn't need it.

It's ok, but if it pops into my hand late game and i've played most of my elves, it won't have the punch the Coat of Arms would. I agree that in the early game it can be obscene though!

well, i got a glimpse running through 2/3ds of my deck on turn 3, unfortunately, I ran out of green creatures to play, no emrakul in sight, tiaga tapped, all 4 symbiote triggers returning visionary to my hand, so it had to do it on turn 4.
That was just bad luck though. +1

It's a good shout tbh. I haven't updated the deck in a while, so it might be behind on the meta. However, unless my opponent is playing ramp with Linvala, Keeper of Silence , I can't see a situation where they could drop one before the combo goes off.
