Eldritch Affinity 2.0

Modern

kamahl211

Sideboard

Basically the deck looks to cast a T2 eldritch evolution or Elder Deep-Fiend off a Frogmite, with a plan B of playing out like a budget Affinity deck. I find that when the deck works, it works extremely well, fetching a Frost titan on T2 and locking down lands can shut your opponent out pretty fast. A T2 Sire of Insanity can also end a game pretty fast, and it doesn't really hurt me because I'd have emptied my hand to get him. Without an Eldritch Evolution, a T2 Elder Deep-Fiend is just as possible, and can be just as devastating on their upkeep.

The problem is that I am not finding it consistent enough. Sometimes the deck just plays out way too slowly, and can't mount much of an offence at all. Which i s why i added the Eldrazi Temples and Drowners of Hope. They can come out quickly enough, and if I can follow up an early Frost titan with one, the scions can taps down any resistance and clear the way. Some of my card choices are pretty sub-optimal though, such as paradise mantle, which I now realize can conflict with springleaf drum in a pretty bad way.

Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. I know there are a lot of other nice 6 drops out there that would make fine EE targets, do i have the best ones?

Thanks.
