However smartass links are always nice thank you!
Wasn't being a smart ass. I actually really enjoy this deck type and that video in particular because that is what showed me this deck style. Just trying to show you something cool to maybe help you build or play this deck just a bit. But obviously I'm just being a smart ass so obviously I am wrong.
Sorry mate, didn't think you were actually trying to be helpful. Most of the time when I see people do that they are just saying "you stole this idea from whoever" or it's been done before. Didn't think you actually were trying to help. However I did love that match, it was like the first thing that came up when I searched Eggs. Fantastic game. Troll ending.
Damn just learned that Darksteel Citadel is not banned in Modern. I had a whole artifact deck built with artifact lands for someone to tell me they werent Modern legal and I didnt want to play Legacy. Well enough about that, what about Prophetic Prism it replaces itself in your hand right away, mana corrects for you and you can get the colour you need and then sac it to the Ironworks for another 2 mana
NeoHazard, all of the COLORED artifact lands are banned. (Otherwise modern affinity would be terribad).
There are a few other wincons that can go into your sideboard that don't target. Exsanguinate will be your best friend against Leyline of Sanctity. (Which most people have in sideboard if they have W.)
I prefer not to run the ironworks in my own Eggs-Cellent just because it doesn't have a cantrip and while you are comboing out if you, on your last draw of a cycle, need to draw another card to keep the combo going you will instead peter out. On the other hand if it works...
Sorry for double posting but: AEther Spellbomb also needs to be considered for Meddling Mage and the like.
Echoing Truth is currently the go-to answer for annoying cards out of the sideboard. It bounces Rule of Law, Ethersworn Canonist, Aven Mindcensor, Meddling Mage, Nevermore, etc. The only thing it doesn't stop is Angel's Grace, which will make you flustered.
I know you already have it, I'm just arguing against AEther Spellbomb. Although, you could go up to 4x copies in the SB.
My biggest problem with the Eggs deck is its love of throwing in eggs-actly one win-con. As my grandmother once said, it's never a good idea to put all your eggs in one basket. (no more puns)
To those who use the deck-type frequently, how often do you simply lose your win-con? (to discard, counterspells, etc)
Well, as long as you don't keep a hand with Grapeshot in it, and you combo off the turn before your opponent has Slaughter Games mana, you should be fine.
@MagicFingers You can just use Conjurer's Bauble to put a countered/discarded wincon back into your library, technically you could add Searing Spear and you will still win. The only thing that would hurt an eggs player is exile and Dissipate and it's like don't see much play in modern. You can respond to grave hate with another Faith's Reward /Second Sunrise as well.
I would maindeck the Pyrite Spellbomb over Grapeshot , Grapeshot is only better than the spellbomb when you are against something with graveyard hate like Deathrite Shaman

Aevukh says...
If you're playing the Krark-Clan version, I recommend not having Sleight of Hand and probably no Serum Visions, and to include artifacts such as Ichor Wellspring and Terrarion, which both net mana/cards very well with Ironworks. Also, Banefire is very feasible mainboard, as you can generate absurd amounts of mana. You may also want to consider cutting some islands for Darksteel Citadel, as you can get to Krark-Clan Ironworks relatively easily in a game, and it makes Citadel net 3 mana per sunrise. Other than that, you should have a couple of Silence mainboard so that you have some chance against control.
