Enchantment (1)

Creature (1)

It's all about the draw and the weenies...

This is my attempt to build a quicker, more competitive EDH deck to use in my LGS which plays more competitively than my own playgroup.

The idea is simply to get weenies out quickly, then play Edric, Spymaster of Trast to keep drawing off my evasive weenies. Eventually the deck can play one of its win conditions:Psychosis Crawler with the draw it gets painful quick.

Champion of Lambholt make your creatures very tough to block.

Beastmaster Ascension: bring on the pain, make my evasive weenies huge!

Updates Add

So I have made a large amount of changes to the deck, some from play and some from suggestions. A big thanks has to go to Pucatrade user Dan Miller for the excellent cards from Secret Santa, as those have really made a difference.

What Has Been Removed:

Nullify Simply swapped out for a different counter.

Plasm Capture Too expensive to hold 4 mana open, so dropped.

Reality Shift: This may yet go back in, but it never quite seemed to do what I wanted it to.

Turn to Frog Another piece of blue removal that didn't quite hit the heights I wanted.

Worldly Tutor Moved to the sideboard, but may well go back into the main deck.

Dissolve Found I didn't need so many 3 cmc counters so dropped this one.

AEtherling: Yes it was a finisher but too expensive, so dropped it.

Arbor Elf: No evasion, and I already had enough utility creatures. If I need more ramp, it may well get back in, but for now changed to try other things.

Elvish Visionary: Too expensive without having a way to easily abuse, and the draw off her was minimal, so dropped.

Kruphix, God of Horizons: Tough one but dropped on the advice of multiple players. I love Kruphix, God of Horizons but found on balance I haven't missed the card in the deck... yet.

Marang River Prowler Dropped as I had better creatures.

Merfolk Spy Dropped for a better replacement

Murkfiend Liege Dropped due to high cost, and not really playing to the deck's theme. Got replaced by the true evil of Prophet of Kruphix.

Pendelhaven Elder: Dropped due to lacking impact in this deck.

Spellstutter Sprite: I found the counterspell effect never worked when I needed it to, so dropped.

Treetop Scout: Dropped for a better replacement.

Cards That Have Been Added:

Bird of Paradise: Something of an upgrade of Arbor Elf.

Cloud of Faeries: Adds cycling effect and a small flyer, not a bad package. Adds fuel if ever I add Spellstutter Sprite back in.

Jhessian Infiltrator: A decent body and unblackable. Not bad for 2 cmc.

Mystic Snake: Replaces Spellstutter Sprite. More expensive but more effective.

Phyrexian Metamorph: I am in colour for this, and it's a great card. One from Secret Santa.

Prophet of Kruphix: I found the Prophet to be more useful than Murkfiend Liege.

Sakura-Tribe Elder: More useful than other small creatures as it provides some ramp.

Silumgar Sorcerer: A way to sacrifice a creature, a flyer, and a hard counter, all for 3 cmc. Worth it for the versatility alone.

Bind: A wonderful way to spoil people's game winniong pays, in green too!

Counterspell: The original, and the copy I play is a Secret Santa gift with real thought!

Repopulate: The uses for this card are myriad, and it has cycling to boot!

Simic Charm: Versatility is the key here, another great Secret Santa addition.

Skullclamp: Cannot believe I didn't have this in the first build. 1/1s now useless? Chuck the clamp on them, and feel the card draw love. Can be a real doozie with Psychosis Crawler on the table.

Life from the Loam The lack of mana rocks was keenly felt during an Armageddon, right until I got hold of a copy of this for the deck.

Abundance Fixes mana problems quite nicely, found it really helpful.

Nature's Will: WIth unblockable creatures this gets horrid. With Prophet of Kruphix too, this gets game winning if not dealt with.
