EDH? Why Not Slivers?

General

Description

The wonderful thing about slivers
is slivers are wonderful things
their bodies are made out of sinew
they've got muscles on top of their wings
they're hasted, trample, shroud, and shadow
plus, one,
one, one,
one, one,
but the most wonderful thing about slivers is
there...
is more than one!

Check out all of my other decks as well!

Bruna, Light of Alabaster 's Aura Mind Trick,

Trade Stuff — July 16, 2012

I have decided that I need to advertise on each of my decks the things that I am looking to acquire for each deck and, if you are a trader who has what I am looking for, feel free to look at my Binder.

Instead of Phyrexian Lens you could use Spectral Searchlight so you don't have to pay life. For Dawn's Reflection there is Mirari's Wake or Mana Reflection .

Quest for Renewal could be an interesting addition to the deck.

Renewing Touch or Creeping Renaissance can help against board wipes to re-search.

All Suns' Dawn is a five color tutor.

Also, Lurking Predators .

I was attempting to get ALL of the "of any color" rocks here. Paying life doesn't concern me, as life is just a resource in EDH. I will add Spectral Searchlight though, when I can find it.

The goal here is to fix all five colors ASAP. Mana Reflection and Mirari's Wake don't fix at all they just double what I already have.

I might add a Creeping Renaissance at some point but it is kinda unneeded as of now.

All Suns' Dawn isn't a tutor and my goal here isn't to fill the yard.

Lurking Predators has merit, I might try to get one.

Ohthenoises: I barely know anything about EDH. Don't take what I say as critism, because I might be wrong.

But don't you need more Slivers?

The other slivers aren't worth including except some of the new ones like the new flying, double strike, +3/+3, and thorncaster. Maybe the lifelink one too.

There is a VERY awesome combo you can do a swarm type EDH deck.

Tunnel Vision + Patriarch's Bidding /Living Death

Using the mana from Manaweft Sliver or Gemhide Sliver , use Tunnel Vision on yourself and name Patriarch's Bidding . Next turn, play it naming Slivers, since your GY will be FILLED with a lot of slivers (and hopefully a haste sliver is in there) this brings every sliver into play then you swing to win.

GY hate could ruin your day with this, but if you have a way to draw that card in one turn and do this all in one turn its a GG. Even more so with Legion Sliver

Even by them selves, Patriarch's Bidding and Living Death are great ways to get your self back into the game after a few board wipes.

Last thing you can do with these two cards is use Basal Sliver wipe your own board then use either Living Death or Patriarch's Bidding to get the maxim effect.

Just so many possibilities! +1

also you might wanna look into Magma Sliver IMO he is the second half of Shifting Sliver just need a decent board 5-6 slivers w/ boss pop shifting and magma Tap all send boss through instant game win and with ur boss easy to pull off search for em done rofl also why not throw in an alternate win condition you got 5 colors throw in each of the guildgates and Maze's End and while they are trying to deal with your slivers come in the back door for a surprise win and if they destroy or exile Maze's End np just kill em with slivers plus while you can use Maze's End its extra recurring ramp that can help you fix mana situations

Magma Sliver has "come across my desk before" so to speak. He was cut a long time ago because cards like Maze of Ith exist and are extremely common in my playgroup. My answer to that is to run Crystalline Sliver for shroud purposes. This makes Magma Sliver a paperweight.

I had already added Maze's End to the deck in paper and just hadn't had the time to update it on here. I have done so now.

ahh i c good point my play group isnt that far along yet lol if your timing is right (with the boss not a problem) play Shifting Sliver and Magma Sliver first then buff cast Crystalline Sliver then atk making their Maze of Ith useless lol takes a little longer but works non the less lol but i do c your point

Usually my playgroup has lots of removal. If I try to pump, then cast Crystalline Sliver they will remove Sliver Overlord in response.

That's why I always search for Quick Sliver first. Then every other sliver I search for is either cast at EOT or in response to another spell. They tap their Maze of Ith and you respond by searching for and casting Crystalline Sliver . If they cast Akroma's Vengeance , you search for and cast Crypt Sliver or Clot Sliver . If they leave your commander unblocked for the second time, search for and cast Bonescythe Sliver before damage to do lethal. With Quick Sliver + Sliver Overlord I feel like the control deck, and it's a lot of fun!

While that's true bloeser I just prefer not having to work around shroud for my own purposes but I HAVE to have shroud for my meta. Magma Sliver doesn't help me overly much aside from oneshotting someone with a general and at that point it's easier to get queen and go I infinite with her.

Sweet deck, +1! Maybe it's not important in your meta, but wouldn't it be wise to run at least one copy of each basic land? Path to Exile , Blood Moon , and Ruination would be really strong against this deck.

If you're still manafixing, there's a few cards you may want to think about.

Crystal Quarry best friend for a 5 colour EDH deck.

Cryptic Gateway for when you just can't manafix/get enough mana.

Hope this helps! :)
