You are looking at a surprisingly fast vampire combo deck I brewed up after seeing carnival of souls when looking for ideas with Edgar. Originally I was running it as a mostly aggro deck, but kept losing to value engine decks. Back to carnival of souls: with it out each of our vampires become a black rite of flame, which along with the MVP skullclamp we can dig very deep into our library and land a pitiless plunderer or phyrexian altar effect to start making 3+ mana per vampire. Between the treasures, carnival of souls and aetherflux reservoir storm count this deck has a lot of things to keep track of, so keep dice handy starting from turn 3.

Deck wins with either bolas citadel/top or oathsworn vampire paired with a way to get mana from it, and aetherflux or a blood artist effect (2 if you are using carnival of souls).

For deck decisions I ran all the 1 mana vampires (and 2 changelings) I could find along with any 2 drop that had 1 toughness and a relevant effect. Also threw in all the ramp and tutors I could think of, and a couple pieces of interaction. First thing you should be doing is getting skullclamp out ASAP. If you dont have a couple vampires and either a tutor or card draw engine ship it back, you get a free mulligan anyways.

When playing this deck do not forget the black mantra, you dont lose until you have 0 life. Dont be afraid to use ad nauseam and go super deep or be afraid to continuously play into carnival of souls.
