Dying Never Felt So Good

Casual Combo Lifegain Zombie

PTsmitty Score: 3

Back to an old deck concept of using Blood Artist and kill spells to control the board and hurt me opponent. I know Falkenrath Aristocrat would be a better play then Desecration Demon, but I do not have any of them to play. Any other suggestions for my mainboard or sideboard would be appreciated. Thank for looking.

Doom Blade in the side board to replace Murder if an opponent dos not play black creatures.

Would defenitly put in Diregraf Ghoul for early game pressure, especialy since u leak 1 mana drops. Later in the game u can sacrifice him for better cards.

Mutilate in ur sideboard. It will kill ur own Blood Artist or Skirsdag High Priest while I think they are the core of this deck, no? But keep it in the sideboard because of the tokens decks out there.

than -2 Tribute to Hunger so u can play 4 Diregraf Ghoul . Enough control in the deck with 1 and the other control cards. And u get enough life thanks to Blood Artist and Disciple of Bolas .

Thanks for the advice. The reason why I h ad Murder on my mainboard was because I was trying to make this a post-rotation deck, but if I happen to play it before Oct. I will definitely have them in my sideboard. I agree with sideboarding Mutilate . I do not know why I forgot to make the connection to killing off my creatures as well. I will see how it runs with making the adjustments you suggested.

NICE!!!! +1 from me. I actually play tested this, damn. I finally finished tweaking my mono black. It now looks like Jasper Johnson-Epstein's mono black that he used during the DKA pro tour. But whatever, LOL. It works great now, I took a week off from FNM to make my changes, and did a draft instead, got some good stuff... Have you seen the RTR spoiler?? I think they just decided to troll the shit out of Delver decks and Ajani. B/R is going to be a power house in october.

I took a look at the new spoilers for RTR, and I agree B/R could be pretty nasty. I had thought about making this a B/R deck because there are some pretty good creatures that require red that can be used as a sacrificing engine, but it would probably end up like a deck similar to what everyone at my shop as played at some point. I want to try and create a deck that no one has so they do not already knows how it plays right when they see the colors I have chosen, and also give me a sense of pride since I made it all on my own :) However, a card that allows me to kill a creature or planeswalker is a card I would be stupid not to try to play in a deck! I cannot wait until more cards are leaked!

Like ur way of thinking ptsmitty, not much fun in the game if everyone runs the same deck :) +1

And if u really want Falkenrath Noble in, U can drop 2 Diregraf Ghoul and 1 Skirsdag High Priest if u ask me. But u think 4 Blood Artist do just fine :)

Yeah, I made a B/R build last night, man. Its nasty, less sacrifice... more aggro. I call it "Shamaloo". <<<< I don't know how to link my decks, so I quote them out. Its still a fairly new deck, so changes are-a-coming.
