Yes, I know that the Nephilim are not technically legendary. However, as they are the only four-color creatures in magic my playgroup allows them to be used as commanders under "assumed legendary" rules (so they can't be cloned or copied). Ask anyone you don't play with regularly before busting this deck out and you should be fine.

The deck is pretty simple;

1. Ramp ramp ramp

2. Give Dune-Brood Nephilim Double Strike

3. Make him unblockable

4. Profit

This deck can make a lot of tokens at the same time. Unlike generals like Rhys the Redeemed or Trostani, Selesnya's Voice who make tokens over time. As such you need to be weary of wraths. Also be on the lookout for mass land destruction (I'm sure you can see why).

There is also a landfall sub-theme going on here, making Perilous Forays one of the best cards in the deck. It's always fun to resolve a Boundless Realms with an Ob Nixilis, the Fallen on the field. The mana-base still needs some work, but thus far I have had no problem casting the Brood when I've wanted to.

Because the tokens are created during the combat step and I haven't included any extra-combat spells (they're not what the deck was built for) I've been thinking of taking out the haste enablers. Fires of Yavimaya and Fervor often end up being dead cards because they are only a factor the turn before I play Brood. I just added Purphoros, God of the Forge and Cathars' Crusade and they really take advantage of so many tokens entering the battlefield at one time (thanks for the suggestions dandugg).

Let me know if you have any budget suggestions. I tend not to spend much money on my children's card games, so as much as I would love a Doubling Season I'm not going to be shoveling out $20 to get one any time soon. Thanks in advance!
