Champion of Wits- This card is a boss in this deck! Champion has synergy with The Scarab God, The Locust God, Scrapheap Scrounger and, Never / Return. Also, the ability to filter any 2 of a kind that has a 1 limit per field makes it a important piece in this deck.
Hazoret the Fervent- Great Card! Whether or not it'll be playable turn 4 in this deck is beyond matter. I intended for it to be a creature thats played when the hand is basically depleted, a nice top deck or, an enabler for Rhonas the Indomitable.
Rhonas the Indomitable- Another great card! Hazoret and Rhonas have won many matches for me just by themselves (even against a few modern decks) with a little aid from removal. Also, I intended for Rhonas the Indomitable to be played the turn before or after a 4/X or greater creature hits the controller's field.
Scrapheap Scrounger- In this deck its an early game threat that can be pitched into the grave from the hand by Champion of Wits ability to later become card advantage.
Servant of the Conduit- Ramp and energy outlet. Also, a turn 4 Nicol Bolas, God-Pharoah with Servant and Chandra, Torch of Defiance is possible with this deck.
The Scarab God- A recurring nightmare. If this card left unchecked can activate its ability to target a Champion of Wits or The Locust God recently pitched by Champion of Wits then, its more then likely game over for the opposing player. Now, if The Scarab God can activate its ability to target The Locust God and also a Champion of Wits then, its likely more to be game over for the opposing player.
The Locust God- Basically, it recurs, it combos with Champion of Wits, The Scarab God can resurrect it for 2 less mana and it retains its power level. Also, it has flying right along with its many possible hasty tokens.
