Welcome to what is currently the only Rashida Scalebane deck on this site. So that's cool, until someone steals my thunder...

So, do you absolutely hate dragons? Of course you don't! Everyone loves dragons!

Except for Rashida. She really hates them. A lot. So much so, that all she is good for is taking down our poor scaly friends. Its not super useful, but a janky, useless commander still demands a janky, useless deck to lead. So, without further ado, lets get started!

Rashida certainly isn't alone, although there aren't too many cards that share her hatred. Baneslayer Angel , Dragon Hunter , and Dragonstalker are the only true dragon slayers. However, Riders of Gavony can be prompted to take up arms against dragons as well. That leaves Rashida's dragon death squad at a grand total of four, but luckily we can find some other suitable allies.

Dragons typically have high power, and more often appear in certain colors. Rashida can exploit these traits. Intrepid Hero , the aptly named Hidden Dragonslayer , and other cards like them can take down the larger dragons with ease. Surge of Righteousness and Pentarch Paladin are examples of how Rashida can attack specific colors dragons are commonly aligned with.

Rashida Scalebane 's ability requires her to tap, which means most of the time we will only trigger her once a turn. Magewright's Stone , Alarum , and others can fix that. Now when the dragons come knocking at our door, Rashida can realistically clear out two or three of them. When a deck spends a lot of mana on huge, high impact creatures like dragons, it's dangerous to face a deck that can kill their stuff with little effort.

Of course, now that we have Rashida dissuading their attacks, we can't really use her as effectively. Forcing them to block our own threats can get around this, although there is no guarantee they would. Unless we provoke them. Deftblade Elite and Lowland Tracker are our resident experts in pissing off large reptiles.

Everything else in the deck just performs more utility based roles. Ramp, card draw, board wipes, and finishers are all present in the deck. I should also note Leonin Arbiter and Aven Mindcensor being included as responses specifically for Scion of the Ur-Dragon decks.

That's really it. Thanks for reading, and if you have any suggestions on how to make your dragon-playing friends even more sad, I'm all ears.
