Good lord. Well no one at my shop had blood moons to trade, so those are out of the deck (for now). I honestly like the Kiln Fiend a LOT though. When you get him in your opening hand you can simply play around him by not casting any of your burn spells on turn 1. On turn 2, you cast the fiend. I prefer to call him lightning rod, personally (because any competent opponent will be sending removal his way). If they don't instantly kill him you just cast 2-3 of the many burn spells in this deck your next turn. You deal 6-9 damage and Kiln Fiend gets +6/0 or +9/0...not too shabby (although you won't have the hand 80% of the time). Throw in a turn 1 swiftspear and that's 24 damage dealt by turn 3. If this doesn't work out, however, it's not too much of an issue. The other way we play this deck (vs affinity, dredge, zoo, stompy) is to burn out their creatures instead of the player. Use Eidolon of the Great Revel to punish them for casting, and move into your midrange element with Chandra, Torch of Defiance, Thunderbreak Regent, and Thundermaw Hellkite. Don't be afraid to play the long game and use chandras ultimate. As long as you can block for her for the 3 necessary turns you can get there.

Sideboard tech:

Tormod's Crypt: For dredge mainly (and the people who are sexually attracted to snapcaster mages).

Anger of the Gods: For anybody who likes creatures. Bonus points if Anger of the Gods buffs my swiftspear to a 3/4 on casting ;)

Shattering Spree hello tron, affinity, and extra Kiln Fiend triggers.
