The Experiment has been shut down for the time being and has been returned to this standard fish t2 deck. I'll leave the description up though.

The Idea of this deck is to keep costs down so that we can always maintain play during our opponents turn. Slowing down the tempo and bluffing are a big part of this deck. Have a Cursecatcher on the field with 2 untapped mana. Even without counterspells in your hand your opponent is weary. Our level up creatures are great creatures no matter what time of the game they are pulled. Any amount of mana can be pumped into them late game to make them pretty beastly. Coralhelm Commander is a potential 6drop 4/4 flyer with other merfolk get +1/+1 give that you have enough tokens on the field this can be a really beefy transition. Enclave Cryptologist is a 7 drop late game giving 2 card draws in combination with Merrow Commerce

Lullmage Mentor is the key engine for this deck. The deck is stacked with counter spells to turn into merfolk creatures. It's fun watching a sacrificed Cursecatcher turns into another merfolk to bring back more pain for our opponent. Remand and Delay really shine here. Most times i can delay the spell just long enough so that when it resolves i'll be able to tap my seven merfolk with Lullmage Mentor.

Merrow Commerce is here to untap all our merfolk whether they have attacked or used a tap ability. Combo's with Merfolk Thaumaturgist and Silvergill Douser to help destroy even indestructible creatures.

Coralhelm Commander is our main win con at the moment.

Familiar's Ruse combos with Silvergil Adept added with an Aether Vial they can be quite fun. Deprive being used to return Halimar Depths to our hand and counter spell. Remand is nice counter spell for our Lullmage Mentor and extra card advantage. Sage's Dousing is a mana leak with card advantage, great find.

Halimar Depths give us a drop to use on our first turn and stack our next 3 cards.
