After Amonkhet was spoiled, my favourite looking card was one of the very first seen, Archfiend of Ifnir. I've created a burn/discard deck which, while, initial thoughts were grixis, has become a solid rakdos colouring.

The main combos are Soul-Scar Mage being able to wither down creatures over time (if need be), but also allowing some pump from all the burn/kill spells. Another wither source is the eventual Archfiend of Ifnir that synergises amazingly with the madness/discard mechanics of the deck, throwing a -1/-1 on all enemy creatures. Both of these feed into my second favourite card Nest of Scarabs. Every single -1/-1 placed by us nets us a little blue-gold flesh-devouring gem. Essentially, we want to have something like this go off:

Resulting in this kind of a reaction from our opponent:

ahem

However, the deck has numerous other smaller combos regarding the discarding. For instance, using Carthartic Reunion to draw three, and throw down -1/-1 counters for fun. However, my favourite being using Collective Defiance, throwing away our hand (-1/-1s abound), and then using Shadow of the Grave to pull everything you just tossed away back into your hand again. Obviously, with enough mana, you could cycle/discard some other cards, pump up the Defiance further, all that fun stuff.

I'm curious what others think and what suggestions people might have (especially to fill out the sideboard).

Update: The more I thought about it, the better Jund was for this deck. Super swarm and a better curve. This way the -1/-1s from Plague Belcher can be used for mana and snakes/scarabs. Fun times! The sideboard gives good match-ups verses heavy kill (black and white sources), counters spells, and copycat.
