The deck needs more ramp... i'd suggest running a couple of keyrunes, maybe go Jund with the deck, Maw of the Mire has some upside to it and Destroy the Evidence can ensure your opponent is less likely to draw into their next land. Possibly even run Trepanation Blade to keep taking their next land-drops before they draw them too

I had some jund cards ready in my maybe board, i had considered it, however, i dont want to fill the deck with things that don't destroy land. In a scenario where i get none, my deck doesn't really do anything.

I understand your point however, some keyrunes would be useful, maybe more so that some of the 3 drop defenders i have.

I don't thing that the keyrunes are necessary and three Chandras means that you're in danger of drawing too many and having them destroyed, so I'd suggest mainboarding the card:Rakdos's Returns and Abrupt Decay s.

3 Chandra, the Firebrand is actually very necessary. I need to have one on the field at all times, to copy my last destro spells, as well as copying an overloaded Mizzium Mortars to wipe a board with a Thragtusk or two (yes, its happened, and its my favorite solution)

They keyrunes are in there as pokers. I don't have many ways of beating their face in after i stall, so the keyrunes help with mana, as well as defense and offense when the time is right. Just having either keyrune able to activate prevented many opponents from swinging at me.

Usually what ends up happening however, is that i sideboard out Destroy the Evidence , a keyrune or two, and a couple land destro spells to bring in Abrupt Decay s and card:Rakdos's Returns, ect.

Seem's like a fun deck to play, Jund as been popular where I am. I may add Some keyrunes to my Naya LD once gatecrash hits.

I think that would be good. Selesnya Keyrune isn't a bad option either. It can be a decent smash when your opponent is left with nothing, and all you have is a keyrune.

Seems like a strong decklist, though you kinda leave yourself open for the first couple of turns, at least until turn 3 or 4, when all hell breaks loose, maybe a one drop to stall for a bit?. Otherwise, I hope you don't mind if I steal this deck for a couple of test runs.

Hehe Vos I see we have a similar approach to deckbuilding :) and we both like fringe strategies and aggro deck ... to the topic of land destruction funny coincidence, yesterday I build a land destruction deck and tested it for couple of hours at MTGO Online :) the point and key by my opinion is to be able to hit and destroy they 1st land during turn 3 and continue on next turns ... let me build up here the deck I'm currently testing and link it ...

I played it that wednesday last week and did very well, because i played against control decks. Friday night later last week, i played all aggro. Can you guess what my outcome was?

1-3...

My one win was a bye.

GAH

The deck doesnt work well against aggro, unless the sideboard is fine-tuned a little more towards it. But, i can say that the reason i lost those games was because my removal package was at the bottom of my library. EVERY TIME. Damn you shuffling gods!

I know you havn't used this deck in a while/it's pretty old but I was browsing through some new deck types and I was wondering what your take on Conjurer's Closet + Acidic Slime is if possible.

Vos_Is_Boss says... #14

If you get it to work, its one of the best LD strategies in standard.

However, you can't bank on only using it for Acidic Slime. I think Conjurer's Closet belongs in a deck with a bunch of other ETB creatures, like Thragtusk, Huntmaster of the Fells  Flip, Armada Wurm, Azorius Justiciar, Captain of the Watch, Kessig Malcontents... things like that.

So, if you want to run LD as a focus, run them both, but add in some of these cards as an alternate win condition / game factor.

Any ideas on how I can improve my deck: Jund Land Destroyer ?

Dickified says... #16

Er...maybe go blue, but not for counters...I'm talking land destruction. You may think...WHAT? But trust, I haven't finalised playtesting yet but with the frenzied tillings and farseeks and money for shocks could I suggest Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker ?

Please check my janky land destruction too?

openingsalvo says... #17

so did you consider running Destroy the Evidence at all? I realize its another 5 drop, but you could replace say Frenzied Tilling . I guess my thought process is, if you are at 5 mana you are already almost at the top of your curve and more ramp at that point is a little redundant. With destroy the evidence not only is the cmc less mana intensive, but you also deprive your opponent of 2 lands, the one he was using and the one that could have replaced it.

I'm just now looking into this deck build so please feel free to point out the flaws in my thought processes.

My idea is using clone deadeye, navigator, acidic slime, and conjurer's closet. This allows bouncing multiple times a turn.

Hi, given, your 4 and 5 drop cards have you considered Elvish Mystic to get those out faster? I like the deck. ( :
