Sorin is really good, but I wanted something immune to rotation. Using Sorin to play The Haunt of Hightower for 3 mana is pretty disgusting, but even if you don't get there, having a Nightveil Predator in play and pumping it with Sorin is still quite good. Knight of Ebon Legion and Thief of Sanity require immediate removal before they get out of control, and a 1/1 deathtouch blocker will make your opponent check themselves before swinging.
