Wouldn't it be nice if you could use transmute to fetch any card in your deck? Well, now you can. Now, for only 3 CMC, you can discard a card with transmute and get any card you want in your deck. Players love it! Let's hear from some of them:

• : So, what do you like about this deck?
• : Well, I absolutely love that, since everything has a CMC of 2, I can use any of the cards with transmute, like Dimir Inflitrator and Muddle the Mixture, or Disciple of Deceit's ability to get whatever card I need. It makes it really easy to set up the Duskmantle Guildmage and Mindcrank combo.
• : Also, counters like Muddle the Mixture, Mana Leak, and Negate can keep the combo safe while it goes off.

Jokes aside, I think this is a really interesting deck. The goal is to activate Duskmantle Guildmage's first ability to set up a repeating loop with Mindcrank. This combo then either takes the opponent down to 0 life or mills through their entire deck. Besides combo pieces and tutors, I have counters and creature destroyers to stall and frustrate your opponent, and, ultimately, to protect the combo.

Card Analyses:

• 12x Island, 9x Swamp: a cheap mana base. The ratio is 12 to 9 because most of the spells need blue and black to cast, there are only a few that take just blue. This deck might be more consistent with dual lands, but those destroy the budget.

• 4x Dimir Charm: This card gives great flexibility. It's a counter, a creature destroyer, and a way to start up the combo.

• 3x Doom Blade: Destroy a creature. It's limited to nonblack creatures, and Go for the Throat is better, but the budget it limiting.
• 4x Mana Leak: A great way to seriously slow your opponent. You can use it on creatures being summoned, burn spells, or whatever you need. It's especially good against decks that rely on summoning big creatures.
• 4x Muddle the Mixture: A counter and transmute outlet.

• 4x Negate: A simple counter and a good way to protect the combo pieces.

• 4x Aura of Dominion : put this on Disciple of Deceit. Then, you can tutor for any card in the deck multiple times per turn by paying 1 mana, using the enchantment ability to tap and then untap Disciple of Deceit, and then discarding any spell you don't need.

• 4x Dimir Infiltrator: Mostly here it be a transmute outlet, but also a not bad creature.
• 4x Disciple of Deceit: a perfect tutor ability for this deck, especially when enchanted with Aura of Dominion .

• 4x Duskmantle Guildmage: The first of the combo pieces.

• 4x Mindcrank: The second of the combo pieces. Also, great to get into play even before the Duskmantle Guildmage.
