At times one feels best sitting at the top of a mound of seething hate. What more can be said than mill, we love and hate you.

I have remodeled this deck focusing more on the core strategy of mill and control. Tell me what you think.

Holy crap. That's nice. Having played a version of the modern mill deck, without a doubt you want to be playing Ensnaring Bridge in the main board and at least one Surgical Extraction for combo/burn/etc. Otherwise, Visions of Beyond > Thought Scour > Serum Visions. Your cantrips exist so that you do not run out of steam and allow you to draw into cards that will either A) Mill your opponent outright or B) Help you stall until you can. The T4 win wombo-combo mentioned above is certainly nice, especially noting that it can be done at INSTANT SPEED. Profit. Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth seems a bit bizarre in your build. If you were playing Archive Trap + Ghost Quarter , I could see it being helpful as your Ghost Quarters become Swamps, but otherwise its inclusion seems suspect. You want to fetch with your fetches to trigger Hedron Crab. Nephalia Drownyard seems too slow in the main unless you're playing Ensnaring Bridge in the main as well for a slow but inevitable alternate win-con. Hope you have as much fun playing Mill as I do!

Ruinous Path over Hero's Downfall and maybe Spellskite in sideboard instead but I really like it +1

@dracula.23rd Ruinous Path casts at sorcery speed making it linearly worse than Hero's Downfall. Spellskite holds its spot in the mainboard to reduce the effectiveness of burndecks against me while simultaneously protecting my combo pieces which individually are still highly relevant toward my win condition.

Nice! It's been a long time since ive seen someone running this combo in a competitive deck. the aggro is pretty consistent too, so nice job building this.

I dont know your meta, but you have no way to deal with Leyline of Sanctity. i would also highly recommend Surgical Extraction in the main board. as SouenEclipsed mentioned before, it cripples combo decks, and makes burn less of a threat, but it also gives you a mainboard way to deal with reshuffle effects from things like Emrakul, the Aeons Torn.

once again, it's a meta call. If i played this at my LGS without a gameplan for leyline, i'd be screwed. For the record, i used to run Mesmeric Orb with more Murderous Cuts and Set Adrift in the sideboard.

I greatly look forward to watching this deck develop

Hero's Downfall is too slow for a deck like this. You want to win by milling with either the combo or normal mill spells ideally by turn 4-5, so I'd replace 2 of the MD Spellskites and the 2 Downfalls with the 4th Archive Trap, 2 more Visions of Beyond, and the 3rd Fatal Push. I'd also change the mana base a little to include 3 additional blue fetchlands for more crab activations and to enable revolt on fatal push, replacing 1 watery grave and 2 basic islands. Instead of Dragon's Claw in the SB, have you tried Crypt Incursion? It normally gains me 15-18 life against burn after milling them for a few turns, effectively restarting the game. It only gets better against aggressive creature decks. As was mentioned above, Leyline of Sanctity is a card that sees play in many sideboards in modern, so perhaps 1-2 Echoing Truth could make it to your SB as an efficient answer? Hope some of that helps! Happy milling!

I have added Echoing Truth back to my sideboard. Crypt Incursion is less than ideal as not all decks run a large enough number of creatures to make it of value given its mana cost while my Spellskite + Dragon's Claw combo generally offers me more earlier. Hero's Downfall exists to combat planeswalkers while allowing for general removal it's 2 spot inclusion even given the casting cost is more than warranted.
