A White Black Heroic deck, with an emphasis on combat tricks rather than enchantments. It's somewhere between an aggro and a control deck, either bursting down opponents with Fabled Hero early on or removing every creature they play with Agent of the Fates while gradually killing them.

This is actually the first deck I ever made and it hasn't received many changes since. Primarily just the addition of Toshiro Umezawa, Knight of the Holy Nimbus , an overhaul of the removal package from Doom Blades to what it is now, and improving the mana base of course.

The all star of the deck is certainly Fabled Hero , he's the deck's usual win condition. Equipped with Spirit Mantle he becomes an unblockable creature that hits your opponent for 8+ every turn, and with Ajani's Presence or Gods Willing to negate any removal and simultaneously empower Fabled Hero to end the game even faster, this deck can manage turn 4, 5, or 6 wins pretty easily. Agent of the Fates is a removal king. He turns all those one mana instants into one mana "Your opponent sacks a creature" cards, especially good with the rebound from Virulent Swipe . Toshiro Umezawa potentially allows for another use out of any of the deck's instants, and synergizes amazingly with Agent of the Fates, allowing you to chain Agent's effect so long as you have the graveyard and the mana. I've used this to make opponents sack whole fields, and this isn't too uncommon an occurrence. Knight of the Holy Nimbus may seem odd as he doesn't have heroic, but because one needs to commit at least 2 mana to destroy him in most cases, and the deck is has plenty of tricks to save him, any attempts to remove him will just result in an opponent wasting a ton of mana. Favored Hoplite is a phenomenal one drop. His synergy with Virulent Swipe is just too good.

While it's probably already pretty obvious, Spirit Mantle is just a glorified way to get unblockable while triggering heroic and netting an extra +1/+1, which is especially potent on Fabled Hero as already mentioned, as any gains made on him effectively doubled due to double strike.

As for instants, Gods Willing and Ajani's Presence protect and empower creatures, protection from any color is exceptionally strong and indestructibility and a +1/+1 on a card with strive? Too good to pass up. Virulent Swipe is also an amazing card, a complete hidden gem in my opinion. It syngerizes exceptionally with just about every creature in some way (two sacks from Agent, first strike deathtouch on Hero, and it protects Hoplite while giving him deathtouch) and on Fabled Hero it effectively makes him do an additionally 6 damage to a player due to his heroic and double strike, two of these on a Spirit Mantle d Fabled Hero can end a game right there. Tragic Slip and Unmake are solid removal, both getting around indestructible creatures nicely and Tragic Slip especially works well with Toshiro Umezawa due to it's low mana cost and the guarantee of having morbid triggered. Finally, Sign in Blood is just a simple two-of to get a bit of card advantage and hopefully fix some bad draws.

While I usually run budget lands, and used to for this deck, given that many cards require two colored mana and the aggressiveness of the deck, I feel fast dual lands are vital for the deck to function.
