Eyes up, Guardians! You thought your fight against the minions of the Darkness was done with Light and bullets, but that's only the beginning...

True Guardians win their battles with cardboard.

That's right. Cardboard.

Notes:

Commander: Scion of the Ur-Dragon - Riven of a Thousand Voices

The Commander was one of the most difficult aspects of the deck, and I have not found an equivalent for the Traveler yet. This lead to choosing the only other 5-color creature in the deck at this stage: Riven. Scion fits her well because of her nature as a shapeshifter and a dragon, and being 5-color makes the rest of the deck significantly easier to build.

Creatures:

The Awoken:

Mara Sov(Reincarnated) - Queen Marchesa

Mara Sov(Destiny 1) - Teysa, Envoy of Ghosts

Uldren Sov - Edgar Markov

Petra Venj - Adriana, Captain of the Guard

The Vanguard:

Commander Savala - Jareth, Leonin Titan

This is one of the weaker choices and could definitely be improved.

Ikora Rey - Inalla, Archmage Ritualist

Cayde-6 - Solemn Simulacrum

The Tower:

Lord Shaxx - Kamahl, Pit Fighter/Tajic, Blade of the Legion

Lord Saladin - Kamahl, Fist of Krosa/Agrus Kos, Wojek Veteran

These two are some of the most similar characters in the series with different mindsets and ideals, and their position as Crucible announcers makes them quite fitting as the two Kamahls. However, both have secondary options.

Saint-14 - Karn, Silver Golem/Karn, Scion of Urza

Saint-14 is known as one of the most powerful Sentinel/Defender Titans, so it is necessary that he have some sort of power in blocking. His planeswalker form would be tied to his time in the Infinite Forest, and could allow for some Artifact synergy inside of the deck itself.

Amanda Holliday - Hanna, Ship's Navigator

Suraya Hawthorne - Kari Zev, Skyship Raider

Louis - Ragavan

The Court of Oryx:

Oryx/Aurash - Nicol Bolas, the Ravager/Nicol Bolas, the Risen

Oryx, the Taken King - Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh

Oryx's Throne World - Gem of Becoming, Patient Rebuilding

Crota, Son of Oryx - Volrath, the Fallen

Nokris - Sedris, the Traitor King

The sons of Oryx needed to fit their own story and combat mechanics while also tying to Oryx in some way. Nokris' reanimation fits his actions on Mars as a servant of the Worm God reanimating Thralls only for them to quickly be eradicated by our Guardians. Crota needed to be relatively weak and conquerable.

Savathun, the Witch-Queen - Marchesa, the Black Rose

While there are many potential options for Savathun, a relation to Mara Sov that focuses on controlling behind-the-scenes was most fitting.

Xivu-Arath, God of War - Thraximundar

Xivu-Arath needed to have some serious combat focus while simultaneously fitting the colors of her siblings. Thraximundar was the perfect fit.

Missing:

I also found an excellent color pie relation for each enemy faction, and any ideas related to that would be very helpful.

Red - The Cabal

Green - The Fallen

Black - The Hive

Colorless - The Taken?
