Desecrated Deprivation

Modern Control Discard Mono-Black

Jaredsroy

Deprivation... That is the goal of this deck, they have creatures? We kill them. They have cards in hand? Not for long. They have lands? well... this is modern not legacy, so there is not a lot of black land destruction i know of, so if we just get them empty handed all they can play is land, which if we can deal with all their threats is okay.

Now.. Lets break this down.Smallpox - AMAZING card. We can basically do everything this deck does in one foul swoop, with the card draw in this deck we can still stay ahead in cards in hand.

Geth's Verdict- Whats nto to love? The lose a life and sac a creature! Bye bye hexproof.

Victim of Night- Cheap targeted removal when geth's verdict won't do the trick.

Psychic Miasma - Repeatable discard? I'll take 3! i felt 4 is too much, because they won't always discard a land.

Mutilate- Board wipe when the going gets tough.

Duress- Turn one threat removal before it can be played? Can't complain about that, may one day this will be thoughtseize.

Inquisition of Kozilek- Same a duress but different.

Sign in Blood- Card draw to stay ahead of the game when using small pox.

Underworld Connections- Sign in blood but different.

Gatekeeper of Malakir - Can't go wrong with a 2/2 that kills a creature as it is played. this can still dish out some damage over several turns, and the removal is nice as well.

Desecration Demon- Winning! This kills player sand creatures, when they have a creature they will sac it, when they don't, they will get punched in the face.

Korlash, Heir to Blackblade - The other win con. more swamps = more damage, more korlash = more swamps= more damage. Se yeah all in all damage with regenerate.

Vampire Nighthawk- Just a one of for some life gain

Sorin Markov- Late game control your opponent an win, for a six drop more then one is risky, in modern, one is probably risky enough.

Black Sun's Zenith- Controlled board wipe. In the late game i can kill their creatures and keep my Korlash.
