Tap/untap tribal jank to the max with some supporting card combos. Derevi was my first commander and is presently my longest standing. Started as a precon, dipped into stacks (and immediately leaped out), and finally settled on what it is today.

The deck generally wins with one of the many infinite combos it packs but it tends to be able to accumulate enough value that they become almost excessive. Generic ones like Argothian Elder/ Kiora's Follower & Freed From the Real/Pemmin's Aura shoot out infinite mana/untaps which can lead to mana, draw, permanents bouncing, etc. The Mirror Entity/Reveillark/Karmic Guide combo is a biproduct of needing recursion for my creatures. Paradox Engine is also incredibly awesome and can lead to some really cool plays (Birthing Pod anyone?). Winter Orb is the lone stax wincon but it doesn't hinder my creatures and with the errata has become even stronger in Derevi.

Derevi is frequently remarked as one of the most busted commanders around, and I'm not really going to bother arguing against that here (because they're right). Her low cost coupled with being instant speed and able to interact with the board at any time can do so much. Tapping down a key permanent, stopping an attacker, using politics to help others, get extra juice out of one of the mana tap abilities the deck offers, etc. I truly wouldn't doubt ever finding a replacement for her, and I hope I never have to.

For the deck as a whole, it's always a blast honestly. I never get enough out of the amount of synergy the deck has. I still learn new card interactions within the deck to this day. Very satisfying to pilot. The versatility, flashiness, consistency, and explosiveness of the deck has kept it, and will keep it, running for as long as I play commander.

Trying out Isochron Scepter for a bit. Should be very promising with Dramatic Reversal and if it excels enough I may try to make space for Vitalize and To Arms.
