This is my take on the new Commander Derevi, Empyrial Tactician as well as the first EDH deck I've ever made technically.

Keep in mind, this obviously this isn't a social deck as your opponents will be doing a whole lot of nothing for the most part.

It's a mix of a tap down and tax deck. Lock down your opponent with cards like Winter Orb, Rising Waters , Static Orb, Tangle Wire and Hokori, Dust Drinker.

Keep their mana tapped with Nature's Will, and Sword of Feast and Famine.

Then, tax them with cards like Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, Spelltithe Enforcer , Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, and Aura of Silence.

While your opponents are locked down, you can untap your lands with Derevi, Empyrial Tactician's ability just by attacking with your creatures.

Combos

Fatestitcher + Static Orb = Tap at the end of opponent's turn, don't have to lock yourself down.

Fauna Shaman + Elvish Piper = Put any creature you want on the battlefield for 2 Forests!

( Rising Waters || Hokori, Dust Drinker || Winter Orb) + (Nature's Will || Bear Umbra || Sword of Feast and Famine ) = Keep your opponent from getting more than 1 untapped land a turn. Untap all your lands.

(Sphinx's Revelation || Stroke of Genius) + Derevi, Empyrial Tactician = You can get extremely large X costs for these cards just by stacking all untap triggers on something like Gilded Lotus or Basalt Monolith.

Derevi, Empyrial Tactician + Birthing Pod = Derevi's ability makes her an expendable commander. Take advantage of this with Birthing Pod !

Derevi, Empyrial Tactician + Dismiss into Dream = Target your opponents' creatures with the tap triggers.

Turn 4 Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur:

1 - Temple Garden -> Mana Vault

2 - Island -> Bloom Tender

3 - Derevi, Empyrial Tactician ->Winter Orb

4 - Attack with Derevi, Empyrial Tactician -> Tap Mana Vault & Bloom Tender for mana -> Un-tap Bloom Tender = Flash in Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur

With Winter Orb in effect opponents will likely have to discard most of their hand.

Known Infinite Combos

Wake Thrasher + ( Seeker of Skybreak || Tidewater Minion || Basalt Monolith ) = Infinitely massive dude.

Tidewater Minion + illusionist's bracer = Infinite Mana

Tidewater Minion + illusionist's bracer + Lux Cannon = Obliterate all target-able permanents.

Magosi, the Waterveil + Rings of Brighthearth = Infinite Turns

Final Thoughts

While I'm happy the way this deck turned out overall there are a few weaknesses. One thing this deck is missing is direct control, so if your opponents' ever break out of their "jail", guess whose public enemy #1. Also there is no quick win with this deck, prepare for the long game if you decide to play it, likely your opponent will concede before it gets very far.
