Casual UR delver deck to play with my friends
this is an aggresive delver list that aims to kill the opponent with delvers, swiftspears, and pyromancers.
Mental Misstep is run as a way to disrupt any deck with a one drop(nearly every deck). A free counter is never bad, and it is almost never a dead card. Additionally, my meta is infested with combo decks such as storm, and this card helps keep them in check
Daze
is also there as a free counter, so I can utilize it even when tapped out.
even if my opponents manage to deal with my creature(s) I can use Lightning Bolt,
Chain Lightning
, or
Forked Bolt
to finish them off

, can also be used to remove any of my opponents blockers for the first few turn
Treasure Cruise is run as the deck can fill its graveyard very quickly, so treasure cruise usually turns into U- draw 3.
Gitaxian Probe is there to get value from pyromancer and swiftspear.it also adds a free card to the yard for cruise.
Ponder, and Preordain set up delver flips, and help me dig to cards I need
Thought Scour is there as a way to feed the graveyard for Treasure Cruise
this deck has a few problems.
one, I often do not have an island out for me to use
Daze
for its alternate cost. Also, the mana base is very painful, and I have lost games to burn as a result.
another problem this deck has is it has no way to unconditionally say no. non budget delver decks can utilize Force of Will as a way of saying no regardless of what your opponent is playing. The counters I have are all conditional.
this deck also has a problem with having some dead cards in hand.
non budget delver decks have ways to use excess Treasure Cruise.they can pitch Treasure Cruise to Force of Will, or they can shuffle extra Treasure Cruise away with Brainstorms
non budget delver decks can utilize fetchlands to use fill their graveyard.
The sideboard needs work...
all suggestions are appreciated, but keep in mind that this deck needs to be budget, so any cards over 4$ are out of range.
