A couple Mind Sculpt s later and I had myself a 8/5 Jace's Phantasm equipped with Pike. Opponent popped off Magus of the Jar with Liliana's Caress in play, I managed to save myself by casting Dream Twist on him and lose 12 life, staying out of range of a Cephalid Coliseum death.
Magus went on a Mimic Vat and after I took him down to 9 with the Phantasm, he brought Magus back out to play. Crippling Chill buys me a turn and I bust out Increasing Confusion on myself and go for the kill. Chain of Vapor sends my Phantasm away and I copy it, bouncing Mimic Vat . I then blast one of his Coliseums with Ghost Quarter . Finally he plays Corpse Dance , bringing back another Magus and finishing the job.
The Cackling Counterpart s seemed a bit out of place so I bumped up to 2 increasing confusion and upped the land count to 21. I'm still open to making changes but it seems to be running smoothly right now.
This list is really close to something I'm working on:) and might I say Snapcaster is fantastic in the deck at 2 of, flashbacking mindsculpt is very fun, additionally I would like to suggest is a bit unorthidox but Vanishment has done great things in my deck, especially due to all the cantrips in the deck, Thoughtscour, draw one, put one of his/her permanents on top of their library, and then when your turn comes around, mill it to the grave, no fuss and no mess.
So far live playtesting has gone well. I'm looking to pick up another Vanishment as I somehow only have one. Sideboard suggestions would be helpful.
I thought Talrand + Saving Grasp would be silly against spot removal. card:Grafdigger's Cage and Dissipate for zombies/solar flare. May need room for Devastation Tide against tokens. Anything I'm missing?
I'd been using Glacial Fortress to activate Moorland Haunt, which helps give me extra attackers if someone blows up my other creatures. Hallowed Fountain was added as extra support to produce white mana, though I'd rather have something other than a shock land in its place. Right now options are limited though.
