This deck pushes to get out delirium as quickly as possible with Grim Flayer swinging in turn 3 with the support of delirium or a removal spell or Liliana's +1 ability. After that the deck has a lot of high return low cost creatures and I try to win through trample damage off of Mindwrack Demon and Verdurous Gearhulk, or by controlling the board state with extra draws and removal.

Any advice or ideas are welcomed in how I might better counter some of the new meta standard decks. I am considering the other Liliana as well in addition to sideboarding a copy of Yahenni's Expertise.

I am keeping this as my standard deck knowing that Aetherworks Marvel and zombies are rising in standard. I want to see if I can keep green black Delirium competitive.

Wednesday Night Standard (3-1 Second Place) — Jan. 5, 2017

Again I went 3-1 at a Wednesday night magic at my local card store.

I won the first game to a green/blue energy deck 2-0, no sideboard or changes needed.

I won the second game against a B/R Dynavolt tower control deck. I outpaced him in the first game and surprised him with having three verduous gearhulks, he was holding his counter spells for the Ishkanah that isnt in my mainboard. And I won the second game in the series by getting an 8/8 gearhulk to stick.

I then faced a white red aggro dwarf/vehicle deck and due to him having no hard removal flooded the board both games with creatures that were stronger than his for the same mana cost. Grim Flayer Sylvan Advocate and trampled in with a verduous gearhulk for the win.

In the final game I lost 0-2 to another Red Blue control/removal deck that killed every creature I played on the turn I played it. He swung in with a torrential gearhulk to win. The second game I got a verduous gearhulk to stick and he top-decked Jace from SOI and bounced it back to my hand. The Jace was the only card in his deck that would have been able to stop me from winning as he was defenseless at that point otherwise, but once it bounced I wasn't able to keep anything on the board and lost.

So far my deck at Standard tournaments is 6-2, taking second place each time.
