Description

This deck focuses on generating as much mana as you can per turn and using Sands of Delirium to Mill your opponent's library. Each creature has Defender which is essential to using the mana generating effects of Axebane Guardian and Overgrown Battlement. Other creatures like Sylvan Caryatid and Vine Trellis can generate one mana on their own. Transmuting Drift of Phantasms helps you get Sands of Delirium and Freed from the Real attached to your mana generating creatures will let you untap them and use their effects enough times to have as much mana as you need to Mill your opponent's entire library.

Daily MTG posted a Green/Blue deck today that uses different cards, but pretty much does the same thing as my deck.

Increasing Confusion if the Sands does not come out / is removed by Slaughter Games

Also, Door to Nothingness would be cool, but depending on Ax Guardian

I would say this deck needs more card draw/tutoring in order to get the Sands out.

oh yeah, also I'm missing Fog Bank - great defender.
And what about:
Colossus of Akros - with all that mana ramp you could animate him and attack for the win (as another win con)
Guardian of the Ages - to gain time!

lil_cheez, while your suggestions would be useful to win, my deck is focused around Milling so I prefer to stick to that. I'm more of a 'theme' kind of player so I don't often like to stray outside the particular focus of my deck.

Also, I originally had Fog Bank in my deck but it kept getting removed too quickly by Shock or Shock-like spells.

NateJH, Yes, more draw/tutor would be helpful.

Hello love to see a fellow defender type i have quite a few suggestions i think you will like

1: Vertigo Spawn great for slowing them down

2: Kaijin of the Vanishing Touch another great card for slowing them down

3: Upwelling this is the creme de la creme, this is your sliced bread, this is your baby! Who wouldn't want this for your deck. Basically speeds up your whole process

4: Gomazoa if I'm not correct this will basically screw them up a loot

I would take these cards into consideration as they all help this deck a lot

40cal, I considered Vertigo Spawn and Kaijin of the Vanishing Touch at first but in the end I went for defenders who could produce mana or survive a Lightning Bolt (in most cases).

I'm not a big fan of shuffling libraries because 9 times out of 10 in my experience, my opponent gets a better lineup of cards (so no Gomazoa here).

Wow, I guess I've been reading Upwelling wrong for years. It didn't occur to me that mana could be stored up for use on other turns (provided it stays on the field).
