Control/flicker esper deck.

Have Evil Twin copy Legendaries or just kill off what's there. Havengul Lich can bring back Snapcaster Mage, Geist of Saint Traft, or Evil Twin.

Venser, the Sojourner combined with Cloudshift can flicker your Solemn Simulacrum or even Snapcaster Mage for free, letting you control more, with less.

Advice and comments welcome.

replaced 2x Murder and 1x Mana Leak with 3x Doom Blade, replaced 2x Think Twice with 2x Altar's Reap, messed with the sideboard a bit, need to shrink it down to get where I'm going.

Let me know what you think!

I'd suggest 2x Doom Blade over Murder because of the cheaper cost. For black creatures you already have Go for the Throat . If you flash it back with Snapcaster Mage the two cost alternatives to Murder are much better. Maybe throwing in a Dismember would help deal with indestructible creatures. The mana cost is easier as you can just pay 4 life instead of the 2 black required for Murder . Also, I feel like Havengul Lich isn't making a huge impact on your deck. Perhaps a different creature would be better suited, as the only creature he can really use his activated ability with is Evil Twin . All that being said, this deck shows good promise.

Happy Brewing +1

maybe to get more use out of the Havengul Lich you can use card:Altar's Reap over think twice. It can funnel more of the Snapcaster Mage s and used Evil Twin s when you don't have a Cloudshift and it'll help you draw two cards. You could use it on the Solemn Simulacrum s to draw 3 cards for two mana and then use the lich to bring him back. Just a thought

Wow thanks for the great ideas guys.

I'm looking to change the sideboard quite a bit, the inclusion of Tragic Slip seems necessary after playing last night.

I find myself using Havengul Lich to bring back Snapcaster Mage more than anything, because I can flash him in immediately to block, and bring in a kill spell at the same time, negating two threats at once.

I do need something to speed up the game a bit and the suggestion of card:Altar's Reap seems perfect. Also definitely going to switch to Doomblade while I can.

I was actually running an Entreat the Angels in place of one Venser, the Sojourner last night (standard) and it seemed ok.

Also going to put Essence Scatter and Terminus in the sideboard, creature heavy decks messed with me a bit.

Went 3-2 which is much better than I expected. Faced two exalted decks, a Inkmoth Nexus /titan deck, a graveyard based deck, and... I forget what the other was. People had no idea what to sideboard against me and it really worked to my advantage sometimes, making people bring in dead cards.

Bouncing Evil Twin was amazing, I'd copy a big creature, kill it on their turn with Go for the Throat and then swing for massive damage, at their expense. Then I could Cloudshift on their turn (especially if they tried to kill spell) and copy their best creature, tap to kill it on my turn, and then attack with Geist of Saint Traft .

A fun, if awkward deck. Definitely want to work on it though. Thanks again for the comments and advice.
