SUGGESTIONS WANTED

A twist on the classic turn 1 combo kill with Myr Retriever, Heartless Summoning, and Altar of the Brood. It is more consistent than the original version, and no longer plays Altar of the Brood.

THE COMBO:

In order to get your engine going, you're going to need both Heartless Summoning and Grim Haruspex on the battlefield. In order to get what we need, our deck runs a playset of Beseech the Queen and two copies of Shred Memory as tutors. We also run four Faithless Looting and four Dusk Legion Zealot to cycle/dig through our deck. Once we have our Heartless Summoning and Grim Haruspex in play, which almost always happens by turn 5 (turn 6 at the latest), we use our creature discount from Heartless Summoning to cast creatures for 0 (sometimes 1) mana each. As soon as these creatures hit the battlefield, they die from the -1/-1 given by Heartless Summoning. This triggers our Grim Haruspex, who let's us draw a card. We repeat this process until one of three things happens:

• We hit two Myr Retriever, which continuously get each other back from the graveyard, drawing out our entire deck

• We hit another Grim Haruspex, which let's us get two cards for each dead creature, allowing us to dig more effectively for two Myr Retriever

• We fizzle (this will almost always only happen once in a game at the maximum, so we can just go for it again the following turn)

Once we've cast a ton of creatures and drew our entire deck, we can cast a Myr Moonvessel if we haven't already this turn to add one colorless to our mana pool. Then we exile our one of Simian Spirit Guide from our hand to cast a Grapeshot for lethal. If you for some reason can't cast Grapeshot, you can cast a huge Storm Entity.

UPGRADES:

• Obviously Fetches and Shocklands are a huge upgrade that add consistency and help thin out the deck for our combo

• Adding in three Arcbound Ravager for three Arcbound Worker and four Steel Overseer for three Myr Moonvessel and one Tuktuk the Explorer allows for the deck to have a backup affinity strategy without hindering the ability of the combo to work

• Two Infernal Tutor for two Shred Memory helps the deck not only find redundant pieces such as a second Grim Haruspex or second Myr Retriever, but also find anything in our deck when we get empty handed

Updates Add

The 4 Impact Tremors in the main board were replaced by 1 Grapeshot, 1 Simian Spirit Guide, and 2 Arcbound Worker to add consistency.
