Devotion/Discard (Double D's) (Modern MTG Deck)

This is my version of a modern discard deck. It has a lot of discard and removal to keep control of the board, all while building my devotion to release a Gary for a quick win.

Discard:Inquisition of Kozilek + Thoughtseize : this duo helps control the board early game to move into mid-late game.

Scepter of Fugue: Discard on a stick will sure gain a removal spell, leaving other key cards to help gain victory.

Liliana of the Veil: nuff' said

Removal:Gatekeeper of Malakir: My version of a Snapcaster Mage to poke with.

Geth's Verdict: Removal and poke

Sudden Death: Split second to fight control... A rebel with a cause.

Mutilate: Board whipes are always good

Liliana of the Veil: nuff' said

Win Cons:

Gray Merchant of Asphodel: Lots of damage with devotion

Phyrexian Obliterator: If they don't have answers, I start swinging]]

Nezumi Shortfang: The Rack on a stick+Devotion... A potential 6 damage a turn, while making them discard.+1 if you like please _

I decided to take some of your advice to make this better!

Here is what I added: 1x Liliana Vess 4x Wrench Mind 4x Liliana's Specter 2x Nixathid 2x The Rack

One issue I did notice with this deck is that I kept waiting for my opponent to play something first due do the excessive removal spells I had. So I added more discard. Wrench Mind because it's amazing for 2 mana.

Some of you might be skeptical with me adding Liliana's Specter because of it costing 3 mana for 1 discard. The reason I add this was for devotion purposes, discard on the spot, and the fact that I need creatures in this deck as well. Also with Whip of Erebos it serves as another discard/attack as well.

I replaced the Desecration Demon with 2 Nyxathid because it is cheaper and still adds 2 devotion. It also can be one of my finishers as well.

I added The Rack because I figured that I might as well take advantage of the fact that I am making them discard, which can serve as another finisher in this deck as well, putting them under more pressure. This also serves well with Liliana Vess.
