Modern Golgari Hydras with Hardened Scales

Creatures:

• Arbor Elf provides mana and combos well with Utopia Sprawl
• Metallic Mimic is another "Hydra" that helps his big brothers grow
• Corpsejack Menace is a nice 4/4 body with the power to enlarge the Hydras even further
• Managorger Hydra gets bigger and bigger the more spells are played
• Kalonian Hydra doubles the counters on every creature with each attack
• Primordial Hydra is an ever-growing scary Hydra
• Voracious Hydra has the option to act as creature removal or to enter with double counters

Non-creature spells:

• Utopia Sprawl ramps up my board, especially if Arbor Elf is around
• Abrupt Decay removes threatning permanents and can't be countered
• Bioshift saves counters if one Hydra dies, or places them into an unblocked one
• Hardened Scales adds more and more counters

Combos:

• Arbor Elf + Utopia Sprawl
• Hardened Scales + Corpsejack Menace
• Bioshift + Corpsejack Menace + Hardened Scales
• Any Hydra + Metallic Mimic + Hardened Scales + Corpsejack Menace

Sideboard:

• Nature's Claim removes troublesome artifacts and enchantments
• Fatal Push destroys annoying creatures
• Veil of Summer stops Blue and Black magic in their tracks
• Heroic Intervention and Vines of Vastwood protect against removal
