I wanted to make a Kari Zev pirate EDH deck. However there are only 20 printed pirates in mtg history. Which makes creating a 100 card deck out of them, all but impossible. So what I did was I took some ideas from pirating lifestyle such as dashing in and plundering the opponent while having the option to deal some damage on the way out as well. The option for dealing damage while not in combat at all is always there from pirates in the form of cannons so I threw in some creatures that would act as the cannons.

Our hero Kari Zev went around the worlds in search for many additions to her pirating crew when she stole command of the Skysovereign, Consul Flagship. She found many dragons that shared in her delight of plundering and destruction of whatever they chose. Lord of Shatterskull Pass joined up but he still requires Kari to pay him before he begin working seriously.
