Speed is the game quick dragon 5/5 is the plan.

So how to start this deck focusing on the one dashing dragon Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury ' The Speedy Beauty'.

Well lets start on basics, as far as I have seen attacking can be a bad idea (sometimes) and patience can be a virtue(I say 'can' I don't always agree with my own statements). That being said there's a time to attack and a time to just shrug and say sure damage 'meh'.When I have played this deck most of the time I will be more cautious about attacking preferring to keep certain creatures untapped for use later.

'The Speeding Beauty' is a helpful component in this deck giving my creatures +1 / 0 when it attacks allowing me to smack my opponent into a 'Human Happy Meal'. This being said this is not always the case as sometimes creatures such as Sprinting Warbrute can be used earlier and can be a great way to test if your opponent has any instant speed removal they want to throw at you. The Warbrute having 5/4, means it looks like a sizable threat. In recently played games this has warranted my opponent using removal on it and allowing me to then dash in Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury with relative knowledge that, unless they are running a removal heavy deck it is unlikely that it will face removal. (I have been wrong on this before though.)

Hard casting Warbringer makes Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury 2 colourless mana less for dash (this is important! you should never be hard casting Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury).(this just isn't true, I have found in many circumstances that there are occasions where kolaghan makes a pretty good deterrent and that hard casting her can be a play between losing and winning.)

Dragonlord's Servants also stand to make Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury cheaper by one colourless mana which can be crucial if you get 'The Speeding Beauty' and have a Warbringer stationed on the field to make her a (R)(B) to dash, becoming a 5/5 for two mana!however its effect is not only viable for kolaghan but also for Thunderbreak Regent which can go down to only (R)(R) if you have two Dragonlord's Servant on the field however the one mana off the cost can lead to a turn 3 Thunderbreak Regent (something I have yet to play but am curious to see how it worksout.)

Playing Impact Tremors or Hero's Blade will become a massive headache for your oponent when Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury arrives, as each time she dashes Impact Tremors deals one damage (not much but that will build up) or Hero's Blade will auto equip and make 'The Speedy Beauty' a 8/7 (no small potato). your other selection of dashers will benefit from Impact Tremors too!.

Using Collateral Damage + Humble Defector makes a two draw and deal 3 damage combo, which can help out in those moments of 'oh dear I'm not drawing enough cards and am running out of cards' or even the 'Hey I fancy two more cards and feel like rubbing 3 damage in your face.' This combo is achieved by tapping Humble Defector and then as you have priority responding to the activation by playing Collateral Damage as the effect goes on the stack when Humble Defector is sent to graveyard to pay for Collateral Damage you will still enjoy the benefits of the two draw but also the 3 damage to your opponent!

so I have gone over many components this deck enjoys from its Collateral Damage + Humble Defector to playing Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury and making her wreck house, but now I need to go over other pieces of this deck for instance; Duress and Despise add in more of one than other depending on the deck you are facing they are cheap removal and not only that let you see your opponents hand. (something I think is underrated.) I use the fetch land Bloodstained Mire as it is faster than the life land Bloodfell cave even if it is at current point in time around 100X more expensive. but you know that being the smart people you of course are. (you got to here which is something.) That one turn can mean the difference between a turn three combo or even winning the game.

about mulliganing it depends on what you are playing against I have found that against a red/ green deck I have been able to have a decent match up when I mulliganed down to four cards (not recommended! This happened, thank fully not on game day where I beat the same deck 2-0, though I never had to go down to four cards during that) Against a slightly mish-mashed red/ black deck with a good amount of removal I find it's better to get a good hand rather than try and hold on to a full hand (I found when I wasn't being selective and tried to play with a hand based on the notion of 'oh i'm sure this will be fine' i was knocked on my ass) now I hold a 6 match gap in wins but am more careful in my hand decisions. (I personally like getting a Despise or Duress turn one allowing me to get an insight into an opponents hand and also allowing me to remove potential threats such as removal or important creatures.)

Against mono Red decks I have found this deck is too slow but as many mono red decks are relying on sorceries such as Dragon Fodder or Hordeling Outburst I sideboard in more Duress cards to attempt to deal with this

I hope you find this deck as fun and entertaining as I doand if not you can go put your face into the side of a mountain (place a mountain on the table in front of you a smash your face into it)

Kryptronics

(note: prices are rough don't quote me. Thanks!)(extra note: If you smash your face into the side of an actual mountain or hurt yourself, it's not my problem and you are an idiot for doing everything just because someone told you too!)(slight credibility I came top 8 on Gameday at my local game shop)
