Death is on your side!

Killing your own creatures can work to your advantage. Awakening Zone helps along great with this strategy. Sac the spawns to trigger Reaper from the Abyss , and you guarantee you'll destroy a non-demon creature every turn. You can also use the spawns to gain life and let your opponent lose life with Blood Artist. Sac the spawn to for Culling the Weak, or to trigger Tragic Slip. Play Deathreap Ritual and sac for card advantage.Combine Awakening Zone and Dictate of Erebos force your opponents to sac a creature every turn.

Now don't think deck is Awakening Zone dependant, it just helps. There are also cards that have less synergy with the spawns; Young Wolf , Duress for T1 drops. Both Vampire Nighthawk and Deathreap Ritual are good for mid game. And Cultivate ofcourse, which both helps getting the big guys like Massacre Wurm, Reaper from the Abyss and Vorapede early on. Sheoldred, Whispering One is the cherry on top.
