So sick! This set's gonna be fun, +1
I'd recommend playing with some card:Nightbird's Clutches. Maybe Ruthless Invasion ?
You could also definitely use some black removal so these guys can hit.
This was my version: deck:all-bite-no-bark-br-aggro, has yet to be updated, will refer to this for sure.
Dammit! Was gonna add some Volt Charge s or something and I see Markov Blademaster was just spoiled lol. Another reason to make this deck. 2 in mainboard (not on tappedout yet)
Yea I saw that too. That's why I was thinking to add some unblockable so you can pump cards like THAT.
I put in two card:Nightbird's Clutches, and I have 2 Crossway Vampire to help with blocking issue as well. Also Stromkirk Captain giving everything first strike will defiantly help if they don't have anyone they are willing to chump block with. Hopefully they run out of blockers before I run out of vamps lol.
Added a sideboard. I think this could do well against white weenies (especially after sideboard). Not sure against anything like control or tempered steel. Now that I mention that I need artifact hate in there. Any other suggestions?
if ya dont mind me suggesting say Surgical Extraction or black sun's zenith to whip out any inconvenient blocks by some chumps'..personally i always enjoy whippin out my opponents board then surgical extract the other cards he/she is hiding in their library'...an it exiles the cards so known that flashback ...an graveborn mess'...jus a thought'..seen ya had 58 cards'..let me know what ya think'..cause im making a vampire deck' now as well...never had the thought to do so till i seen your's..+1
I do like Surgical Extraction and card:Black Sun's Zenith. They would probably go sideboard though.
Thanks for the +1s! Just made it and its already my highest rated deck XD. Nobody usually looks at any of mine or it may just be that they suck cuz I post them based on cards I have which nerfs them.
i would totally sideboard those cards with a vampire deck for a possible second round removal payback as what i call it haha'..personally i jus make my deck prototype' then save'..then make it newb' an then save' again an it goes to the top of the comment board in the newb section'..its what i do all day everyday ..an jus like two days ago i finally have some of em made it on top rated(which im really really suprised that two of em did)...i discovered this cause i cant deckcycle till the next "tappedout maintenance check"..hah'ah
Too bad I just cycled my Bw Dark Ascension deck before I made this one :( Don't comments and +1s put it back to the top of latest decks?
idk...hmm..it hasnt for me'...tho i dont get deckcycles...so idk how things are supposed to go'... we can try it out' brotha'
Nope, doesn't look like it does. I'll just keep swapping reviews with people and hope that they return the favor lol.
i do see that you are on the Dark Ascension sect'..i think possibly from +1's cause you an strangelove are up round the same time'' an i +1 on both your guy's decks round a close time frame...an also commented' so idk haha
Where is Rally the Peasants as well. Both of these cards (especially Sorin) are made for this sort of deck.
I'd lose the Vampire Interloper as much as I love him in limited. Same for Bloodcrazed Neonate . Go up to a four-of on Bloodline Keeper Flip Flip. Every vampire he pumps out will be better for you, and they'll all get at least +1/+0 off of Sorin's -2 emblem.
I'll check it out tomorrow how I'd switch around the lands to make the splash because you're right, Rally the Peasants though. It's nice, but I don't want to cut anything for it.
I would like 4 Bloodline Keeper Flip Flip in here, but playtesting will be required because I don't want to raise my mana curve too much. I want it to have an aggro aspect to it and not be all late game. I think the current late game is pretty good as it is.
Having an evasive Vampire Interloper is nice with a Rakish Heir or two down. The Bloodcrazed Neonate s work well putting on the pressure also. They have to deal with it or risk losing to a 2 drop. And with ways of making it unblockable it seems pretty reliable to me.
Cool. It seems like you've got a plan and that's the most important part. I am following you about how heavy the deck is getting on four and five drops especially when you add Sorin to the mix. I might be tempted to pick just two or three. Probably go 2x Bloodline Keeper Flip Flip, and then 2x Bloodlord of Vaasgoth and 2x Olivia Voldaren . That way you have several options at the four slot and top out with the Bloodlord. I'd probably then lose Falkenrath Marauders . I love them too (even built a deck for them) but out of your options, they're easily the weakest.
This way you'll likely be able to manage a few more non-creature spells. You're going to want some of black's removal if you expect it to ever be competitive. We're at least talking Doom Blade /Go for the Throat and probably card:Black Sun's Zenith. +1 and I'd totally love a look at a couple of my decks.
This is one I'm playing around with for after DKA releases. It's obviously in flux.
And this one is my current standard deck. It won't be going anywhere, probably just getting a sibling so I don't get burned out on it.
I understand the love for Sorin, Lord of Innistrad, but it seems a bit sketchy to splash a third color for just 1-card. It would be more consistent to just stick 2 colors.
Getting him on the field can really scare your opponents, and he can really make an impact, but I don't think the deck would miss him too much. Maybe drop down to 2 Isolated Chapel and put in 2 Shimmering Grotto ? That could help mana fix in other situations as well. Although I haven't encountered any real problems with the mana so far.
Whether or not he goes in ultimately depends on if I pull him.
On a side note I'm not too sure if he fits in here flavor wise. I think he belongs with Wb humans (such as my deck:sorin-and-his-livestock deck). Sure he is a vampire, but the vampires that are in this deck are causing some of the problems on Innistrad (watch the Dark Ascension trailer). He has returned to defend the humans much like any farmer defends his cattle from wolves.
Clifftop Retreat is also the cheapest of all the enemy duals right now. Flavorwise, I'm following you. But, all the vampire tokens he pumps out plus the -2 emblem begs for him to be included.
Ya I am no longer removing him since I remembered Clifftop Retreat. I'll just have to playtest to know if I should drop the emblem right away, or make a lifelinker. If I have 2-3 other creatures i'll probably drop it, otherwise make a token for defense.
Nice deck man! I really appreciate the suggestions and will change the deck up tonight, +1 for you and check out my Blink deck, +1 if you like it!
Cool deck, +1. Cant wait for DKA, gonna be a really cool set. with what I've seen so far Im gonna put it up there with the likes of Lorwyn and Mirrodin. would Volt Charge instead of Go for the Throat be more productive?
check out my Myrly Superstition if you can, if you like +1 it XD
I find that a Bloodcrazed Neonate generally performs better T2 than a Vampire Interloper. With a Stromkirk Captain T3, she's a 3/2 first striker swinging on turn three. Wow. But wait, she gets bigger!... Or more powerful... Yeah, that sounds better. My point is, you really don't need the flying with her first strikeyness.
One card that I've found fun in these Vamp decks is Assault Strobe, it's a fun way to put an enormous amount of pressure on an opponent. I would even advocate taking out the Markov Blademaster for it. But at this point it's up to you.
I would strongly advise you to add in Volt Charge. It's AMAZING at both clearing the board, pumping your vamps, and even pumping up Sorin's Loyalty. I would take out 1x Bloodlord of Vaasgoth and 2x Nightbird's Clutches for three of them. I find just killing their creatures preferable to just not letting them block. XD +1
Ive been debating over and 4/4 lifelink tokens with Sorin, Lord of Innistrad.
Yeah, I agree, maybe you should have some of both. GAAH, Bloodcrazed Neonate is better with a T3 Stromkirk Captain, but Vampire Interloper is better with a T3 Rakish Heir. I guess I'd take out 2x Markov Blademaster for one more of each of the 2-drops.
Yeah, I'm running a (real-life, oooooh) vampire deck right now, and I personally advocate the late game awesomeness of Bloodlord of Vaasgoth. He's great by himself, and any other vamps get huge automatically. But I hate to be the one to break it to you, but those tokens won't get bloodthirst. If you read his rules text carefully, it says "cast" a vampire spell. Unfortunately that doesn't apply to our friend Sorin, nor the keeper of linear blood.
And I also hate to be the guy nagging on the mana, but you could probably drop one land. For decks that cap out at 4-5 mana, and have most spells at 1-3, I usually play about 22-23 lands. This is entirely up to you though, just a thought in case you needed to free up a slot or two (at most). And remember, any opinions I state in my comments are just that, my own opinions on what I would change if it were my deck. Sure, I'm abso-freaking-lutely amazing at magic (<==Sarcasm), but I'm not always right, some would say usually not.
Anyways, sorry for rambling, good luck with the deck! I'll keep one of my tabs on it. Whatever that means.
That sucks about the tokens, but doesn't make me want to change anything really. If mana is an issue once I make it I will drop one. Thanks for the input.
Also, I made a version of the same theme, though more of a 'RDW, also vampires' take. Could you have a look? I'd appreciate it!
