This is my BUG Goodstuff Control EDH. I converted this deck from Highlander to EDH. I decided to use Damia, Sage of Stone as the commander because of her draw engine. The deck is based on a lot of small creatures that are supported by counter spells and other control spells to remove or takeover the opponent's permanents. The mana cost of all spells in this deck is rather low. Most of the cards cost 2 or 3 mana. This is important to keep your hand size low and be able to redraw cards with Damia's ability.

The goal is to win by dealing damage with a small mob of creatures especially like Thrun, the Last Troll, Troll Ascetic and Tarmogoyf. I prefer creatures that can not only be used to attack but have an effect when they come into play like Coiling Oracle, Eternal Witness, Mulldrifter, Shriekmaw and Thragtusk. Trinket Mage is only used to fetch Sensei's Divining Top.

With these small creatures, you can deal enough damage to your opponent if you keep the board on his or her side clean. Therefore there is a lot of spot removal in this deck, for example Ghastly Demise , Chainer's Edict, Diabolic Edict, Terror , Hero's Downfall, Maelstrom Pulse, Putrefy and Sultai Charm. There is also some mass removal with Oblivion Stone, Damnation and Pernicious Deed if you need to "reset" the match. To keep control of your opponent, use Duress, Condescend, Counterspell, Mana Leak, Hymn to Tourach , Glen Elendra Archmage and Force of Will. To fetch the cards you need, use the tutors Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Green Sun's Zenith and Merchant Scroll.

As Damia, Sage of Stone provides a lot of draw engine herself there are mainly cheap creatures with draw effects like Coiling Oracle, Elvish Visionary, Wall of Blossoms, Mulldrifter and cheap spells like Ponder, Preordain, Serum Visions, Frantic Search. Of course, there is a place for Fact or Fiction which should not be missing in any blue-powered deck.

The mana acceleration is based on creatures and sorceries like Birds of Paradise, Llanowar Elves, Sakura-Tribe Elder Rampant Growth and Farseek rather than artifacts. Werebear can turn into a strong hitter in the early mid-game. Azusa, Lost but Seeking helps playing lands faster. Nightscape Familiar let's you pay less for your spells.

As the term "Goodstuff" implies, there is not that much synergy between the cards. Cards that are too good to not play them are Glen Elendra Archmage, Jace, the Mind Sculptor, Sensei's Divining Top, Bribery and Force of Will.

There were some cards that did not fit into this concept or simply weren't good enough. I already removed and replaced Elves of Deep Shadow , Ambush Viper, Waterfront Bouncer , Big Game Hunter, Aeon Chronicler, Forgotten Ancient, Careful Study, Barter in Blood, Despise and Treasure Cruise . I recently added Coiling Oracle, Tarmogoyf, Phyrexian Revoker, Azusa, Lost but Seeking, Liliana, Heretical Healer  , Clever Impersonator, Necroskitter and Vraska the Unseen instead. Maybe I should add Tamiyo, the Moon Sage and Acidic Slime instead of Naturalize? Maybe Wall of Blossoms and AEtherize are too passive. Liliana, Heretical Healer   and Necroskitterare still on the test bench.

I appreciate any ideas helping to improve this deck :)
