Built around using +1/+1 counters for their intended purpose and so, so much more. Daghatar the Adamant himself is a strong beater that can steal counters from opposing creatures or redistribute his own in times of peril. Support is drawn from a multitude of beneficial enchantments and creatures, a few boardwipes (with conditional invincibility to help retain my boardstate), and more kill spells than your body has room for.

Gyre Sage, Fertilid, and Lifeblood Hydra either ramp or provide card draw through the number of counters on them.

For +1/+1 counter acceleration we have Kalonian Hydra, Hardened Scales, Corpsejack Menace, Mikaeus, the Lunarch, and Cathars' Crusade, with a Doubling Season en route once funding is available. Having any one of these cards out ups the pace of the game a great deal, and god help the foe who faces more than one at the same time.

To round things off we have Retribution of the Ancients to cripple opponents via withering and Pentavus for combo-laden token and counter shenanigans.

This deck has come a long way since its inception as Anafenza, the Foremost and went from +1/+1 Abzan Goodstuff to a midrange powerhouse. There are still a few tweaks I have in mind for the future, so please leave a comment below and tell me your thoughts!
